I recently started cooking more and realized how unsafe dull knives are! We have the stick type sharpener thing but that thing is so dangerous! How do those chef dudes do that?!! Anyway…after almost losing a digit or 2 I found this sharpener. It was a great price and people said it was good so I thought I’d try it. Y’all…..it is amazing!! You just slide the blade though the slots a few times and BOOM sharp knife! As an experiment i took a Dollar Tree chopping knife I had in the basement for random things and ran it through. That knife is now.clean and back in the kitchen as a functioning kitchen utensil! I went to Dollar Tree and spent $1.25 each and got several knives of different sizes and sharpened them all! They’re all razor sharp and I have so many options for cooking now! I feel much more confident and 100% safer!! Excellent purchase!

This sharpener really puts a nice edge on knives with just a few quick strokes. It even put a super sharp edge on some older, non-serrated steak knives we had pretty much quit using they were so dull. The scissors sharpener just plain doesn’t work, at least in my experience. The instructions are vague concerning scissors, and it will remove an edge and ruin your scissors just as efficiently as it sharpens knives. This is a quality made tool, reasonably priced. Also includes a cut resistant glove.

I am a cheapskate, buying my knives a the likes of Dollar Tree. So they get dull fairly fast. With this unit, it takes just a minute to bring it back to razor sharp whenever needed. I notice that as I use the first slot, I feel the roughness disappear after a few strokes. Then on to the next and again feel roughness that disappears after a few strokes. Ditto on the last slot. So it is easy to tell when I’ve got the blade sharp.

I’ve never had much faith in the concept of pull-through sharpeners, but heard a recommendation for one recently and decided to gamble on one. Was surprised by how effective it turned out to be. Obviously this is not meant for super-expensive knives, but for a decent amazon basic set, it really does work quite well.

I have always been skeptical of such sharpeners, but after having a drawer full of dull knives I thought I would give this a try. Guess what, it actually does work. I don’t know how well it would work on something with a totally trashed blade, but for my knives just needing a quick edge, this does what it advertises. Just using the “finest” setting, it put a nice edge back on my carving knives that will now slice through a tomato.

I’m not very knowledgeable about things in the kitchen but I do have a few loved ones that come over and complain about my dull knives so I got this and thought I’d see if I could really tell a difference after using it. And I do! Just a few slides across the various levels of grit and the knife cut easier through a potato. Included in the box is an instruction sheet and a reference to a how to video that was helpful when trying to figure out how to use it on scissors.
