I got this to replace an old Cuisinart electric kettle that died after several years of use. I really like the glass carafe on this kettle; unlike myold kettle it’s easy to check the water level to make sure you have enough for whatever you are brewing. The thermostat works well and reliably shuts off once the water has reached a full boil, though it may take a moment or two past boiling point to shut off.The blue light, though useful to know that it’s on and heating, is also kind of gimmicky but it can be hypnotic watching the blue bubbling water as it approaches boiling. The only downside is that this kettle seems to be a little slower than the old Cuisinart in terms of getting water up to boiling especially when it is completely full, though I have no way to know for sure.

Not sure if the thermostat is too high, or the max water level is much too high, but my initial use to clean it boiled over before any automatic shut-off kicked in. And I only had it filled to 1.5 liter (max is 1.7). I did a chat with customer service and she had me test it at varying water levels to see if the automatic shut-off was working – it did work at lower water levels, but the water boiled hard for several seconds before shut-off. Anyone filling it to max could get seriously burned or even have an electrical problem if water spews out all over the base. Also worth noting is that the instructions state that the unit should always be unplugged between uses. The base has exposed copper contacts, so I’m wondering if there is a possibliity of shock from that if it is plugged in. But, the kettle works wondrously fast and provides very hot water, so does what it is meant to do – but please be careful with this.

I bought this product to use when I go to work. It only takes six minutes to boil a pot of water, and it will automatically shut off. It is very convenient to use. I use it to cook noodles and make tea. The price is cheap.very easy to clean.I really like it!

I was looking at the smaller version but decided to go with the bigger one with it being on sale Black Friday. Works great, heats water very quickly! I use it everyday to make bottles for my infant. Love the glass, donβt mind leaving it out on my counter when company comes over.

It heats up quickly, it holds a lot of water and I love the lights!I replaced my metal teapot with this glass one, I like that I can see through it for cleaning. Good product!

I didn’t realize 1.7L was quite so much water. It’s been good so far. I mainly use it to heat up water that I’ll pour into a pot on the stove. The stove takes forever to boil. I love that the kettle shuts itself off when its reached its desired temperature. The blue light is also pretty cool. It would be cooler if it changed color based on temperature, but that’s just me and my love of leds. It was about 26 dollars which seemed like a good price compared to the other, uglier kettles on amazon. No cool feature though, just put it on it’s little stand and flick the power switch on the kettle.

I really like the size and how quickly it gets the water to temperature. Sturdy base and handle. I also love the filter in the spout of the kettle. Overall very great purchase!

Simple, reliable – so far – I like the glass body, boiling water looks magnificent :)That’s correct, no temperature control. Do you REALLY need that to prepare a cup of good tea? The less functions just makes the kettle more reliable.Good investment overall.
