I’ve never used this type of can opener before and I bought this one largely out of curiosity.I was pleasantly surprised. I love using this can opener. It never hurts your hands. The fact that there is no jagged edge on the can and lid is a plus. Also, the opener doesn’t get dirty because it doesn’t penetrate into the contents of the can.

The best:1. Low priced2. It works (these things tend to stop working at certain point, and I just accepted the fact that this might break, and I’ll have to repurchase it again, but it’s okay, because the price is very affordable).3. The biggest advantage – the rubbery finish on the handles and the twist part. Finally, a can opener that doesn’t hurt my hands with sharp metal edges, and the top twist part that doesn’t slip. They all should come like this.

I bought this can opener primarily for the newer pull top cans, as the lip one these cans makes it difficult to remove the contents. However, I now use this opener on all cans. Even on conventional cans it helps as there is zero lip after you remove the top. Needless to say, my old can opener has been retired. I have only had this opener for a short period of time, so I cannot speak to the longevity of the product. So far, it has operated well with zero issues. I am very satisfied.

Have one for the kitchen, but also for the shop. This one has a more comfortable handle and a flatter guard bar that lets it get in a bit tighter spaces. I have been using it to open up empty spray paint cans for art projects, and it cuts the bottom just as well as food cans. It will not clear to do the domed tops, but might with modification of the bar.Good buy. No real reason to use the old style openers with this type readily available.

I love everything about this. I wanted a can opener that did not leave sharp edges. I had an old clunky one that suddenly broke.
