The media could not be loaded. The kit looks amazing on the bamboo display I love how I can add it to my counter and it just adds this sophisticated note. I couldn’t wait to use it so I used it the day I received it. Besides the great looks, this kit is also very functional and useful. I used it to make my “very berry sake cocktail”. I used to have to chop the berries by hand until they’re like a purree which would take forever but the muddler made it so easy I got the berries to the purree point in less than a minute. The shaker is great too, I’ve used ones before that were hard to open which was annoying. This shaker is easy to use and easy to open without leaking when I shake things in it. The long twisted spoon is so cute I love that the other end has a lil fork in it I used it to place a strawberry to the side of the glass.Here’s a quick recipe for the very berry sake (also see pics):- Use the muddler to purree a few berries in a glass (any mix of berries will do)-Add ice, the juice from half a lemon, and 6 shots (for two glasses) of sake in the shaker- Give it a good shake with some ice and pour it on the berry purree- add some sprite to the glasses and a few ice cubes- mix with the spoons and add toppings if you’re feeling fancyI overall highly recommend this kit it came all well packaged and its very easy to use!

I’m pretty happy with this set, but it was disappointing that the first time I used the shaker to shake up a cocktail when I shook it horizontally, there was some leakage – glad I was over the sink. Only slight leakage. I double-checked and the top part of the shaker was firmly in position. Since that first day, I’ve only shaken the unit vertically, straight up and down (still over the sink-just in case) and there’s been no more leaking. — Also, I was hoping I could rinse things out well enough after using, but for some reason, a residue lingers, so after every time I make a cocktail, everything has to go through the dishwasher.

This kit has granted a cocktail novice like me the ability to make the best cocktails I have ever dreamed of (and sometimes the worst ones in my experimentations). All of the parts are very easy to clean in the dishwasher but in many cases a good rinse is all you need. The recipe book could use some editing as some guides show obvious signs of being ripped off a website such as “click here to find out more” being listed and some recipes are very vague.
