THESE are the ones you want! I ordered this set as my first set of 1 liter swing-top bottles and was very happy with their quality. The metal swing-top latches are substantial and lock very firmly and soundly. I figures all the other similar bottles on Amazon were the same, so when the time came for ordering my next set, I chose a similar looking set for about $8 less. WHAT a difference! The metal used on the other set was flimsy and poorly formed, so that the bottles did not latch firmly, and the metal frequenly popped off the top of the bottles! So I sent those back and ordered another set of these – PERFECTION! Once again I received a good quality bottle with a wide flat base and a MUCH HIGHER QUALITY CLOSURE! Pay a few extra bucks and order these – you’ll be very happy with them!

I’ve read a couple of negative reviews, but so far these bottles are fine. They seem quite sturdy. I purchased them to store lime, lemon and orange juices, as well as homemade simple syrup and grenadine in the refrigerator. I expect no trouble with them, and indeed they have been good so far. The only issue I have, is that the linkage for the cap is a bit difficult to operate. Not a huge problem, but the linkage could be a bit better. Overall, a satisfactory purchase – I would buy these again.

I make homemade water kefir and I like it to be carbonated. I tried some glass bottles before and one of them burst and it sounded like a gunshot going off and I ended up with grape water and glass all over my kitchen. I was wary to try glass again but these were recommended to me so I decided to do it another shot. I am so glad I did! These are awesome. My second ferment of water keeper is very carbonated and the bottles are doing great. I would definitely recommend these.

They don’t hold pressure for 2nd fermentation on beet kvass or fermented lemonade but it stores it well in the fridge

I have a huge crop of lemons,, which I juice, put into the bottles at 80% capacity and then freeze. Ideal!
