Originally I wrote a bad review because the product wasnt responsive, it didn’t come with use instructions. So i thought it was malfunctioning. It works but in order to turn it off/on you must press and hold the power but till it does either. Usually like 2-3sl second hold.

This is a good product for experienced cooks who know the various reading for the meat they’re cooking. My other digital thermometer had a small chart to reference. Thus one doesn’t. A paper chart is provided but I usually go to the drawer for it. The magnet gave out after 2 weeks.The numbers are large enough to read and is easy ti use. Easy on/off.

I use this to make soap, and it has worked well for me for the three batches I’ve used it on. I haven’t had issues with my soap hardening too much as I’m pouring. The only thing I can ding this thermometer for is it takes quite a bit of time for the reading to settle down to what is presumably the correct temperature.

I’m not a chef by any means but I’ve used this product enough times now to realize it’s not accurate. It tells me my meat is at 160* F and it’s almost raw on the inside when it should be cooked. Just do trust it. Haven’t tried it on candy though.

I use this alot for checking safe meat temps or to make sure I don’t burn my sugar while cooking with hot candy and it’s been seemingly accurate every time! It’s easy to use, easy to clean and I appreciate that it has a cover with a clip.
