I have severe arthritis in my hands and was looking for a similarly engineered can opener that would make it easy for me to use. The way the rotating handle is constructed on the can opener is exactly what I need and I MacGyvered one for myself but was a bit clumsy to use as itβs not a βrealβ can opener. That said, I ordered this can opener and found that it was very heavy all by itself.( not good). I had a hard time cutting into the lid (squeezing the handles) before I even tried to open a can- and found it equally difficult to hold pressure on the stationary handles of the can opener while turning the rotating handle – hope that makes sense. I needed it for large 1 pound cans especially, but wanted to use it on all cans. I found that it was harder to use on small cans but easier to open larger ones. So Iβm not sure what the take away is on this can opener yet. For my purposes it is a bit too heavy, difficult to use to open all cans but thatβs because of my arthritis -so Iβm not sure that it wouldnβt work great for anyone who doesnβt have my particular problems.

Love the handle! If you have painful joint pain in your hands like me, you’ll appreciate this manual can opener. Heavy duty but no trying to use fingers to grip and twist small handle. Moving hurts these days but this was a lot faster and easier to use on tasks. I.e. cooking and eating, I have to do anyways. Yes know is small but I’m not using finger muscles to use it. Have not found an affordable automatic one that works on larger cans, at least not yet.Would love to find affordable a kitchen line that is more accomidating and friendly to use with those trying to live independently that have disabilities.

I absolutely love this can opener. To save time and money, I buy # 10 cans of high acid foods like fruits, pickles, and ketchup and re can it in pint jars to feed just the two of us. Opening a large # 10 can can be very difficult with a regular key type can opener, especially if you have old sore hands like me. This crank type opener is fantastic for large and small cans. I uses it now more than my electric can opener. I would recommend this opener to everyone. It’s so easy and fun to use.

I have gone through so many can openers over the past few months and no matter what they keep falling apart and with my arthritis they hurt my hands so bad. Until I got these! These r easy to use, they don’t hurt my hands, and they are very sturdy! I highly recommend these for anyone especially those with arthritis.

It works easily on medium or large cans. Primarily because it provides for more torque with its long turner handle. Almost 4 times more than those crappy thumb handles. No need for an electric can opener any mow.

Commercial grade. Wonβt fall apart in your hands like others. You can remove blade to resharpen it. Youβll have it for years.

My thumbs are not strong, and pressure caused pain. So, I searched for the best can opener, and I found it!

If using for a regular size can, you have to move it to your counter edge or risk hitting your knuckles on the counter when turning the handle. But with so many of my past can openers breaking, this one looks like its made to last.
