The media could not be loaded. Β This pepper grinder is a must in the kitchen. As a avid spice collector I find myself wanting to order more than one set(especially since they are at such a fair price). They have a fine/course setting on the bottom and unexpectedly a LED light to iluminate what your putting your spice on.This electric grinder also requires four triple A batteries per grinder. So while your at it order some Amazon AAA batteries(best value).

These are my first grinders so I can’t say how they compare to others. In my opinion a few things could be better though. They each take 4 AAAs…next time I’ll try to find USB chargeables just to avoid the extra cost. The battery compartment is a little difficult to open for the fingernail impaired…I had to pop it with a fork. It may loosen up over time though. The grind settings could be more clearly marked. The indicator is a small nut that moves from “course” to “fine” to “unscrewed & on the floor” and it isn’t really clear which setting is which, especially since there’s not a whole lot of difference in the grind. Besides these minor things it’s a sharp looking set for a decent price.

This is a nice grinder set. Easy to use and pretty simple to set up. Nice base to set the grinders upon. It has a clear cover that is used for both filling with salt or pepper as well as a way to see how much remains within the grinder. So why not 5 stars? Well, like many products coming from China the instructions are horrable. Clearly written by somebody that does not have English as their primary language. Also it refers to parts of the grinder, but doesn’t show where those parts are located. Example: it says to shake the grains off the burr. But it does not tell me where the burr is. How do I know when the grains are off of it? There is also a chart written in Kanji (I think) that is not on the English side.

While I do like the look of this set, and they are easy to fill and use, you cannot really adjust the coarseness without salt or pepper just falling out of the bottom every time you move it. I have to put both dials all the way to the finest coarseness setting just to keep from making a mess. I got these to replace a different set I had for years. That other set had covers for the bottom of the grinders. That is something this set definitely could use but does not apparently offer. The stand is a nice touch, but the grinders sit very loosely on them, so you need to place them somewhat carefully when you put them back on the stand. Also, the stand is very light and thin plastic, so it slides very easily on a table or a counter without something underneath it. It may be easier to just not use the stand, depending on your preference. I can’t really comment on how well it works for courser grinding, since as I mentioned, if it is not set to the finest grind setting, salt and pepper will simply fall out of the bottom every time you touch the shaker, which will leave a mess all across your counter, table, floors, etc., depending on how you use them.

Product works great and looks nice but purchased this thinking it automatically started grinding when flipped over like the others and the button was a on/off for the automatic function. It starts grinding when you press the button and stops when you let go of the button. Nothing “automatic” about that.Lesson learned to not go off of the title and pay more attention.

I thought each one would require 2 batteries but they each need 4. Would’ve been better if they were rechargeable. They look nice like the photo. They don’t look cheap. the two units are tall so I thought the whole thing would be able to hold the pepper. Not the case, the reservoir is too small. On the part where you adjust the coarseness, it makes a hard clicking sound which makes it sound like I’m about to break it. Nothing about the instructions makes me believe I’m doing it wrong so I think that is how it is.
