Okay, let’s pro/con this little guy:Pros:1) I really like that the jar keeps everything contained, so there’s no loose grounds escaping around the rim of the grind cup.2) The motor is powerful enough to be able to get a good fine grind as long as you don’t overfill it.3) It’s portable and the battery lasts a good long while. It would be great for camping.4) The safety lock-out on the jar means there’s no chance of it accidentally turning on with the jar off.Cons:1) The jar is a little small. This isn’t really an issue for me, since I’m using it as a spice grinder, but it would probably take 2 jars full of beans to make a full pot of coffee.2) Not easy to clean since the blade is permanently attached to the motor, and the blade configuration makes it hard to get everything out from between the blades. This would actually be less of a problem if I were using it for coffee, but it’s a challenge for a spice grinder if you don’t want flavors overlapping from one herb to the next.3) The one thing that I really wish were different is that the motor only runs for a few seconds at a time before turning off. For lightweight materials like dried herbs that I want ground fine, this means that I have to cycle it on over and over until I get to where I want to be. If it would just run as long as I held down the button, that would be MUCH better. The short power cycle is my biggest detractor, but it’s manageable. It’s fairly unique because of the fully enclosed jar, and I love that feature for a spice grinder. So, not quite perfect, but I’m still pretty happy with it.

Happy with this purchase; The unit quickly purrees the herb into a semi-fine powder (it may be too fine for some tastes, but I like it; best suited for using a screen; works for rolling too.)The power button is finicky and sometimes I have to hold it on for a few seconds, other times it starts right up.Comes with a cap so you can use the glass container to store your ground herbs if you need.A hit at parties.Works well for grinding large quantities.

The grinder works well! I got it for creating dehydrated vegetable powders, and it does the job. It is quite small, and requires multiple loads to complete the job. The USB feature is nice in that you are not tethered by a power cord while using, and each charge will give you multiple grinds…as many as twenty or more. After it is started, it runs for 5-7 seconds before turning off. I would prefer manual control, but not a deal breaker. Good grinder!

It works. Screwing the jar on the threads is really tricky to get them on without cross threading. I bought this for my wife to grind spices because her hands don’t work so well and I have to thread the jar on to the motor because she has trouble. It shouldn’t be this hard to do.As others have said, the run time shouldn’t be a preset amount of time. It should run only as long as the button is held down. Cut off the motor after 10 seconds if you want to design it that way, but don’t let the motor run longer than we want it to and over grind with the preset run time.
