I thought the back would be a little more grippy from the description but it is just textured plastic. I do love the thickness of them they are not flimsy at all. Overall I really like them.

We love these cutting mats. Use one or more of them daily. Was looking for new color coded set but everything in stores was too small. These are a good size. Non skid backs keep them in place on countertop. Been using them for 4 months and holding up well.
