So yes, the handle comes backwards so it’ll fit in a smaller box. You can just untwist it and put it on the other direction. Once it’s on the other direction, you’ll need to unscrew it if you want to flip it back. And it takes some adjusting and then some more fine tuning to get everything aligned the way you want it, but once that’s done you can just go, go, go. We have an apple tree and a pear tree and this was incredibly helpful in prepping our surplus apples for the dehydrator. Pears- if they’re ripe, it won’t work on them. Their skin is too delicate and they’re too soft to stand up to this without the core prongs stripping the pear. But those are far easier for me to process than apples, so I was fine with that (I just used a good paring knife and a sturdy pepper corer). The suction worked perfectly throughout several sessions, just make sure there’s no debris or uneven surfaces. It can be a little difficult to clean all its nooks and crannies, but I just took a dish brush to all those blade-y and spring-y parts. All-in-all, if processing apples is a part of your life, this is a great little gadget to have.

No way to hold it still while operating it without hanging onto top part.. suction cups are useless. Easy to use. Only used on apples. Apples must have no bruising/blemishes in order for peeler to work smoothly.

The media could not be loaded. Β So far, I am super impressed with this apple peeler. I don’t agree with the description that says it peels potatos etc, I believe this was only meant for apples. The suction lever really holds tight when put on a clean dry surface AND, don’t panic if you buy it & notice that the handle is on backwards. This is on purpose for packaging. A Phillips screwdriver removes it & then u just screw it in on the proper side. Watch my vid. As soon as I buy some apples I will update my review. But for now, It Really is sturdy, excellent design & fun to use. Hope this info helps.++++Also, if you DON’T WANT to Core/Slice your apples & U simply want to peel them ONLY, the instructions say you can’t REMOVE the slicer blade (remove the wingnut) & you can simply peel the apples (not peel/core/slice). Alot of people were disappointed that this thing peeled, cored & sliced their apples… apparently they didn’t open the instruction booklet. LOL. See photos.

I have arthritis in my hands. I cannot peel apples or potatoes anymore. I had my grandmother’s apple peeler years ago that worked like this one. It was lost in a move so I ordered this one and I love it. Sticks to my counter and doesn’t slip, works fine on fresh apples – if they are soft not as good, but the old one was the same way. I had some medium potatoes and used it to peel them for a Sunday dinner. All peelers similar to this one I have used needed to run the fruit or veggie through forward and then backward to get all the peels off and this one needed it too for some. Then just take a paring knife to remove any spots. It was a timesaver and my hands felt great when I was done. Nice item!

I used it to peel, core, & slice 16 apples for apple cider. It took no time at all. The suction works great. Clean-up was super easy too. Very happy I purchased this.

Works great and since people canβt read directions Iβm going to mention that the handle is purposely backwards when you receive it. You just unscrew it and then screw it on the correct way. They did it to save packaging. So many reviews saying itβs defective because they didnβt read directions!
