About the Fondue Pot
The fun of fondue gets a sleek and convenient makeover with the Cuisinart Electric Fondue Pot. Designed for use with oil, broth, chocolate, or cheese, the set combines powerful electric heat with easy temperature control and handsome but tidy construction. The 3-quart stainless-steel bowl is lined with nonstick coating for keeping heated foods from sticking, and the stand, bowl, ring, and temperature probe all assemble and disassemble easily. A combination of finishesβbrushed on the bowl and ring, mirror on the stand and handlesβgives the unit a contemporary flair. Heat up is efficient here–getting oil to 375 degrees F takes between 10 and 15 minutes. Best of all, you can change the temperature setting with a simple turn of the dial to adjust for different ingredients or the passage of time. For clean up, run the entire set (temperature probe and cord removed, of course) through the dishwasher. A set of eight color-coded fondue forks is also included. Fully assembled, the fondue maker stands 6-1/4 inches high; the bowl is 8-1/4 inches in diameter at the opening.

I LOVE this fondue pot!! I have owned several fondue pots over the last 20years and this is the best one yet!! It is so easy to use, easy to clean and stores nicely! I researched a lot before buying this fondue pot and I can say that its the best fondue pot out there. I have actually bought 3 of this fondue pot. My hubby and I loved it soo much that we bought it for a friends wedding who decided to have fondue for their reception. Everyone was asking where we bought, how much it was and saying how quick and easy it was to use! I think we made some sales that day! LOL..I have 2 at home since we usually do a 3 course fondue night dinner.. The clean up on the pots is soo fast, just a little soap and a quick wipe gets rid of everything which means no scrubbing between courses!! The pot heats up amazingly fast!! I think it took less than 2 min. to heat up a FULL pot of Coq Au Vin sauce for cooking our meats/seafood. Infact it was soo fast that I didn’t have time to do all my preparation I ususally do when I have to wait for the sterno to heat up my old fondue pot and had to have help.I love the fact that the pot has a wide mouth to it. It allows many fondue forks to be able to be sitting in the pot at once. I think we had 5 people in one pot at the wedding which is a lot considering each person had 2 forks in the pot at once. The temperature control is fantastic!! With so many sticks in the pot, we just turned up the temperature a little and there was no waiting to cook the food because the temperature had dropped, then you have to wait for it to heat up again.I no longer have burnt Cheese fondue because I couldn’t control the heat on my sterno fondue pots. I like the fact that I have a good temperature on my chocolate and it doesn’t sear half of your tastebuds off because its just too hot.Oh, and I didn’t mention… you can put it in the dishwasher!!!!! SOO easy. I like to wash by hand but the hubby is all about the dishwasher cleaning it. Not that it matters because everything comes off of the inside soooo easily. The only disappointment I had was the short cord, but it really wasn’t a big deal since we just plugged it into an extension cord.Overall I would totally recommend this pot to someone who is wanting a great fondue pot, or someone who is scared to take the plunge for an electric fondue pot.. TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY!!!

I purchased the Cuisinart Electric Fondue Maker to add to our Christmas Eve festivities! The kids wanted a chocolate fountain, but I thought the fondue would be more versatile as we could use it for other dips! The package arrived well wrapped with each piece wrapped inside. There is the main fondue portion, the cord, the 9 fondue forks and the partial lid. I found the unit to be sturdy for it’s purpose. The pot has a Teflon lining to prevent sticking. The heating element plugs in and you can easily adjust to either higher or lower. The cord is somewhat short, but that is definitely a safety measure and all electric appliances have shorter cords. The only glaring flaw was a large scratch right across the front of the unit. I debated returning/exchanging the unit, but was afraid I wouldn’t have the new one in time for Christmas Eve. We decided to keep it as is.Our first trial run was actually by the teens in the house! They began with a chocolate fondue set on number 2. They did amazingly well and we had no burned chocolate at all. I think the idea is to keep the temperature low and slow and not rush the heat time. They chose a variety of items to dip! They cut up strawberries, pound cake, Rice Krispy treats and so on. After watching this, I have decided it would be awesome to have out for teen gatherings! Our next fondue will be a cheese and broth with select proteins! I am excited to try that one!The only reason for 4 stars versus 5 stars is the quality control issue with the scratched unit. Other than that, a solid five stars! I have posted pictures below! Sorry for the disaster on the table, but I wanted to catch the pictures while the fondue maker was in use!

I purchased this in January 2015. Today, February 21 2022, this pot was retired from service. We had 7 glorious years of fondue or hot pot whenever we wanted it. I wouldn’t say we used it every month, but it was literally on-demand, and we never had any issues until this month. After this pot’s penultimate use, I noticed that the nonstick coating was flaking off of the rivets inside, and that it was starting to look worn above the heating element in the bottom. The last time we used it, both the rivets and the bottom surface looked like they would only continue to degrade, and I didn’t want to eat Teflon flakes more than I already had. PTFE/Teflon coated surfaces don’t last forever, and this took longer in terms of time than most nonstick pots I’ve owned and used.I will be looking for a new pot that is PTFE free to replace this, but at the time of purchase this was the best option I could find. I do not regret it, as it was one of the best small appliance purchases I have made. It served us well, and will be missed.

The only issue is the electrical cord is too short.

This fondue pot is very nice. It holds 8 skewers of food, we cooked assorted veggies like mushroom, cherry tomatoes, bell pepper ,onion, we cooked pork and beef even grill cheese turned out amazing. The temperature settings are easy to change. And the clean up was super easy. I would not recommend more than 4 people per pot, otherwise it would take longer and it could get crowded with all the food in there. It made for a nice family evening.

Nice product. Handled my hungry family.

Connections between the cords feel loose. Pot does seem to heat up OK, though, on a dry run. Not sure this is a keeper.

We ended up buying 5 of these for family parties. We use them several times a year and really enjoy it. (They do draw a lot of amperage. If you’re using more than one you’ll probably need to plug them into different circuits.)
