My son recently discovered air fryer potato chips and I was using an ancient (like 20 yrs old likely) slicer from a company that sells kitchen products at home parties. It was the type that lay across a bowl and caused anxiety to use. I bought this one and used it last night. I’m absolutely AMAZED by how easy it was to set up and use!! I even changed the thickness without problems.I felt SO much safer with the gravity feed and it was quick! I actually sliced way more than I meant to because it was so quick to do. and SO simple to clean up afterwards.My only complaint was my own fault. It took me way too long to figure out how to collapse the leg stand part considering how simple it is!I am extremely accident prone in the kitchen, so this product is a big deal LOL

I’ve gone through a dozen or so of these mandoline slicers over the years, with varying degrees of safety features. Last one I bought lasted five weeks (literally just a few days beyond the return period, of course) – the cheap plastic body split right up the middle as I was halfway through a “slice”. So I spent a few extra dollars this time in search of quality.I got that in the Dash mandoline. While the body is made of plastic, it’s that heavy-duty plastic that feels like it’s been reinforced with silicone. The unit is noticably heavier than those inexpensive knuckle-graters, but not so heavy that you’ll struggle when using it. In fact, it’s got a built-in stand to keep it upright as you control the slices with a plunger-type handle. Best part: I have zero fear of it breaking as I’m using it.And my first very try, I sliced three pounds of carrots in less than two minutes. Your skin never get close to a blade. The manufacturer even include a long-handled, small-headed brush for cleaning the tight spots.My first Dash purchase was a pair of mini waffle makers, which I adore for their ease of cleaning and how little storage space they require. When I realized that Dash also makes a mandoline, I was really excited to receive it. And after using it for a few weeks now, I can’t recommend this thing highly enough! Would give ten stars if I could.

Where do I start? A mandolin is a tool that saves every bit of effort in your life to make quick work of vegetables and fruit. The con? It’s super dangerous. Thousands of people injure themselves each year. When I googled safe mandolin slicer. Then this machine popped up… found the QVC episode… my mind was blown. It seemed too good to be true. I went on Amazon and ordered it. It came. For reference, I love to cut a sweet potato into chips and air fry them to make BBQ chips. Salt pepper paprika and oregano if you want. I almost never make them because it takes 30 minutes to cut through a few potatoes and I don’t have that type of free time. This machine…. My mouth dropped wide open… I cut 5 sweet potatoes into BBQ chips…. Within 40 seconds. Threw the seasoning on it and threw it in the air fryer…. Under 1 minute and 30 seconds…. Done for the whole process… air frying is free time. WITH ZERO RISK of cutting yourselves. Just do yourself a favor and go buy this. Unreal product. Still can’t believe it’s real. Whoever invented this is a genius. How you haven’t bought this already is beyond me. Go buy it now and thank me later. Want a cucumber salad? Done in 6 seconds. Want your chips razor thin? Twist a knob. Want it super thick? Twist a knob. The future is here

I used this for 3 different recipes for Thanksgiving and it made the prep so much easier. It sliced my potatoes into 1/4 discs in no time and it diced my onions and shallots so easily. The only issue I had with it was when I was trying to mandolin slice sweet potatoes they where too wide for the chute that feeds into the slicer so I had to trim them down to slice them. It was a huge deal but the slices were no longer a perfect circle. This slicer felt so much safer to use than my normal mandolin slicer and because I wasn’t worried about slicing off a finger I was able to slice so much quicker. When I purchased it I didn’t know it was able to dice as well and that feature worked well but I don’t know if I would get out the machine and use it just for that unless I was doing a ton of dicing.

Easy to use/clean. Sliced a 5 lb bag of potatoes down to about 1/4” slices in about 2 minutes. Well made. Highly recommend

Amazing product no need to have bulky blades or extra parts! All in one with a simple 360 degree change you can go from slice to French fry cut! Better than the other products out there!
