the less-than-functional accoutrements to the scissors: the cleaning comb (bends like taffy – doesn’t clean anything), the green onion cutter/slicer (isn’t really sharp enough down all the blades), and the veggie peeler (hate that particular style of peeler, but no biggie – I have plenty of good ones). The scissors, on the other hand, are great! I love ’em and use them a lot.

Very happy with this purchase! I use a lot of fresh herbs and hate cutting them and these truly are the perfect solution. They are a little difficult to clean, but the cap it comes with helps if/when it gets clogged while snipping, and of course water works well to rinse it off clean. This set comes with some littler accessories like a veggie peeler and some other weird slicer thing. My 4 stars instead of 5 is because these little things are kind of chinsy. I just wanted the scissors!

I have always used scissors in the kitchen and thought Iβd try this set. The scissors were a bit flimsy and did not cut through a small bunch of cilantro. They went in the garbage. The peelers are good and the shredding tool is awesome.

Used on green onions and parsley so far and it was a treat! Remember that the shears cut your ingredient into very small bits, a very fine chop is produced.I suspect that the negative reviewers might have tried to use it on too big a clump of materials. The shears are quite sturdy and work well. Both the small comb and the big green cover for the shears work for cleaning the shears. The device for long strips works well on green onions and similar items. Have not tried the other items in the set yet.For storing herbs, the OXO Good Grips GreenSaver Herb Keeper is perfect! Large enough for green onions, parsley and chives, too. It is available on Amazon also.

It doesnt matter how much or even how little you are cutting at once…. it really just tears more than gives a clean cut. I mainly got these because i need to prepare quite a bit of scallions every week. It may work just fine for a variety of needs but for many cooks rough cuts of herbs will cause too much reaction with the herb making it watery or stringent in taste.scallion and chives for instance will lose their mild flavor and become very oniony. Also, the cuts dont move between the multiblade too easily, you will be constantly cleaning out the tines. All this being said it still does whats promised, but the peripherals it comes with hardly seem worth even trying.

I only got good use out of the peeler , but the scissor does not do the job as it shows , only used once for green onions.

I got this for mom who had a major stroke last year. She’s unable to chew her food so I used the scissors to cut up small bits of meat like chicken or fish. It’s faster than using regular sharp scissors. Food gets in between the blades but I used the fork to dislodge them. To clean it, I bought a denture cleaning brush from the 99 cents store. The scissors make life so much easier. You must rinse out the scissors right away so it’s easier to clean. I prefer using the scissor compared to using a blender which is harder to clean.
