I didn’t get this for mashed potatoes, I got it for ground meat as per suggestion from a YouTube video. Let me tell you, this is awesome for breaking up ground meat! It’s sturdy, strong and not too heavy but it has the mass and weight to break up the meat perfectly.Because of the shape of the head (if thats the right name), cleaning is a little tedious but not bad at all. I’m just one that prefers to not leave any bits on my utensils before popping them in the dishwasher so it takes a little effort to clean out but its no big deal.This is a great meat masher! I’m sure it does fine on spuds too.

I cant believe I did not get this gadget sooner! I normally use a rubber spatula so I do not scratch my pans. I could never get my ground meats as small as I would like. This sweet simple gadget gets exactly what I want! I love it and use it several times a week.

I found this to be very sturdy, it doesnβt bend. I have been using it mainly when I fry up hamburger meat, great for making spaghetti, taco meat. Twice as fast as using a spatula. Highly recommend.
