Review for the ‘Original Gap Stopper Black, Professional Grade, FDA Heavy 7.2 oz Silicone, Set of 2, Covers Gap between Stove & Countertop, Black”. We bought a new stove and when we took our old one out the mess that had gotten down in the cracks between the old stove and the cabinets was sickening. I had seen solid metal gap stoppers and went searching on Amazon. When I saw these silicone ones it caught my eye, and after reading several reviews I was impressed. However, I was worried because mine is a gas stove with some pretty high output burners and I didn’t know if the heat when bringing a large pot to boil or cooking down a large pot of stew for long periods of time might actually burn or melt these. My wife likes to can and we have done both of the above since getting these and there have been no problems. I could ship these off to you and you wouldn’t know they were not brand new. I have not pulled the stove out to see how much crud is getting down between the stove and the countertops, but I can’t imagine that there has been hardly any at all as this provide a nice cover with no gaps. I was concerned about the length, but the manufacturer has obviously done their homework as they turned out to be the perfect length to fill the entire gap from the back of the stove to the edge of the countertop. They are very easily picked up to clean if you want, or you can just leave them in place and wipe them down. I could not be more satisfied and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking whether they are using gas or electric. Obviously I have not tried them on an electric glass stop stove, but I would not hesitate to and I’m certain they would work very nicely on an induction cooktop as well. You would certainly want to adjust the height of your stove to match as closely as possible to that of your countertop.

The use I had for this was not the typical one. We have two large litter boxes for our cats, next to each other, and litter was falling in between them. I had tried the Magic brand gap filler, but it is lightweight, thin and, more important, has a thin fin so it kept getting pulled out of place.I had originally thought of gluing two of these Gap Stoppers together in an “I-beam” formation, but that proved unnecessary. I just used some binder clips to clip the bottom of the fin to one of the box rims, and that works a treat. The other one was put to work keeping things falling between our washer and dryer, which works fine.

Very good quality silicone seal between counter and stove top.

I ordered these about 6 years ago and loved them. They were sturdy, heavy, and easy to clean in the dishwasher. Now the rubber is flimsy, pops off the stove, sticks to warm items and gets pulled off the stove if too close. I don’t like these at all.

These gap stoppers are great. I have about 1 inch between my stove and the counter. I was able to cut one down to size, easily, with standard scissors. And the stopper ridge on the bottom is offset to one side – it doesn’t run down the length in the exact middle – which I find is very helpful for secure placement.

I have one of those hidden litter box enclosures that looks like a regular side table, but has a litter box on the inside. Because the litter box has rounded corners, my cat would kick litter into those corners that would spill out when I opened the doors. This was a perfect fix. As you can see in the pic, it filled the gap between the box and the furniture walls and is catching the kicked litter. I put a little clear tape on both ends to keep it from moving, but it seems to be holding up really well. This was worth it. I do have a TON leftover that I’ll never use, so I wish I could’ve bought in a smaller quantity though.

The black matches my black stove perfectly so you don’t notice them. They flattened out nicely. Easy to clean too. I’ve only needed to use water to clean them

I have a white stove so the white was chosen with hesitation. So far everything whites off with ease and it laid flat . I ordered a different brand last year that didn’t lay flat. This one is good quality and I would order again!
