These shears are great, we use them in the process of breaking down chickens into different pieces. They work great. My only problem is they do come apart easily. This is for cleaning I’m sure but can be a hassle if you drop them while cutting up the meat they sometimes come apart. While it’s easy to put back togeather it’s just a hassle. Overall I’m satisfied with these shears, makes cutting up chicken much easier

I bought these shears for one purpose. I like to spatchcock my turkeys and chickens, and the kitchen shears that came in the block with my fancy knife set were useless for the task. I didn’t have trouble with the chickens using these shears, but the acid test came today, when I had to cut the backbone out of the 16-pound Thanksgiving turkey. These worked like a charm! I highly recommend.

I utilized standard kitchen shears the 1st year, broke the scissors and it took 20 minutes and lots of pain to get through it. The poultry shears allowed me to cut through the backbone in the matter of a couple minutes.

I was able to bifurcate a 20 pound Turkey in under 2 minutes. It was insanely fast compared to the debacle of the previous year involving 2 crappy pairs of kitchen shears, one of which bent under the stress.

I bought these to spatchcock (cutting out the backbone) several turkeys for thanksgiving. These are very comfortable in the hand, come apart extremely easy to clean, and cut right through the bird bones. They do have one major downside, they really struggle when it comes to cutting through soft tissue only. I had to resort to our standard kitchen shears to cut the excess skin.
