I do love this thermometer and it’s a great deal for the price. I’ve used it to smoke 2 briskets, chicken thighs, marinated chicken breasts, armadillo eggs and a number of other things. While it is accurate I found the beeper inside the device itself incredibly annoying when you set a probe to alarm on your phone the device itself beeps too. Mine is outside and I didn’t need it beeping out there so I took it apart and cut the speaker wire.As for the app you need to use to Bluetooth this with your phone. It has ads, and on my s22 ultra it doesn’t work unless my screen it open to the app. It doesn’t constantly stay connected to the device outside if the app isn’t open either. For a 16 hour brisket smoke this is very annoying. I sold the problem by using an old Samsung tablet with the screen set to never lock or turn off with this app and just keep that as a device to monitor the temps. As for battery life, it’s insanely economical. I’ve left it on for days at a time accidentally multiple times and it’s still showing full bars. All said and done I feel I would still purchase this unless I had the money for a much higher quality version.

One of the biggest issues I have with my Masterbuilt smoker is temperature control. Although it does run on propane – I also use wood and that causes the temperature to sometimes fluctuate. The days of putting in 20,000 steps to smoke some chicken is OVER! I can pull out my phone, which I am always on anyways, and as long as I am in range I can see what temperature my smoker, and meat is at.I did do some temperature checks and the thermometer seems to be rather accurate.

This works really well. I only have 2 probes, and I don’t always want to use my phone. It’s unfortunate that you can’t set the temp on the device itself. What’s cool is you can set each one of the 6 probe plugs to a different temperature and it will remember what it is. So probe 1, 130F (steak), probe 2, 165F (chicken), etc. So then I can just change where it’s plugged for what I want when I don’t feel like using my phone. It’s also quite loud which is wonderful, I can hear it 2 rooms away.Biggest CON: The magnets are too weak, I store it on my fridge, but the magnets are so weak it slides down the fridge, that really sucks. I’ve had to put another magnet under it like a shelf to hold it up. I recently took off the back and glued some neodymium magnets to the inside and that’s much better now. It’s such a stupid defect, but is really annoying.

No longer miss the perfectly cooked Steaks! This is a great thermometer, really takes meat cooking to another level. Easy to read, great editable app, long range and spot on accurate! Just a couple of negatives to disclose;1. The magnet is not strong enough to hold the device to the Pit Boss thick painted surface of the pellet hopper. Just slides off. Solved problem with heavy magnet hook.2. While pulling the temperature probe out of the meat using the wire it came out of the probe. My fault, their fault either way it still works by pushing it back into the probe.Over all pleased with what can be done with it. We no longer time cook as this sends alerts to our phone at the precise temperature needed for the perfect cook. With the presets we can pick their recommended temperature for the different meats or we can DIY set our own custom temperatures and create our own presets.Just remember not to pull the probe out by the wire and you might need a hook depending on how thick the paint is on the metal surface your sticking the magnet to.

Love this product, it’s accurate and very easy to use. My only issue is one probe stopped working after one use. But replacement probes are inexpensive and the other probes have continued working without issue. I believe the bad probe was a fluke and I would happily purchase again. Highly recommend.

Our old thermometer that you inset in the turkey while removed finally gave out. I decided to try this since it gave us continuous readings via the display the phone. I liked how we good set the temperature manually or by selecting a preset alarm. We used the “Turkey” setting (165 degrees) for Thanksgiving and it was nice having to wonder what was going on with the big bird. I got the unit that came with two probes. Initially, we placed one of the probes within the over to verify that the cooking temperature of 350 degrees was correct. After we did the first basting, we placed that probe into the other breast to provide a better indication of the cooking progress. According to Martha Stewart, our big bird with stuffing should have been done within 4 1/2 hours. Maybe a coincidence, but the temperature reached 165 degrees at 4 1/2 hours. After letting it rest for 30 minutes we enjoyed the perfect hot turkey that was moist. Not a complaint but as a feature suggestion: It would be nice to set alarms based on time for things such as basting.
