A solid salt or pepper electric grinder. It can be recharged by the cable provided. This electric grinder has Good quality. The only thing which was kind of misleading is the title is saying it is Salt “ And” pepper grinder. But it can hold only one item at a time means either salt or pepper. Compartment is large enough to hold good quantity of either one

The electric grinder arrived in a sleek black box. Included were the attractive silver and black grinder body, an instruction manual, a USB charging cord, and a little brush for clean out. The grinder arrived charged and ready for action once you fill it. NOTE: The description says, “Salt and pepper grinder.” It is a salt OR pepper grinder, not a dual grinder. This grinder features a flap that keeps dust out and automatically opens and the area lights up slightly as you tilt it to dispense salt or pepper (or whatever other ingredient you plan to use in the grinder). (It casts a pretty small light.)I was a bit concerned at first, seeing this instruction manual. Was it complicated? NO! It was very simple; it was just written in many languages so the manual looked big. Here’s all you have to do to be up and running!ANATOMY OF THE GRINDER: The top part stores the salt, pepper or other spices/herbs. Fill it with one or the other. The bottom half is the battery that holds the charge and operates the grinder. You don’t deal with the battery except to plug in the charging cord at the USB port.QUICK START:1. Take off the tape on the body of the grinder and over the power button.2. Open the round, clear plastic window part by turning. Fill it with salt or pepper.3. Adjust the coarseness by turning the button at top, under the flap. That’s the only time you’ll lift the flap manually.4. Tilt the grinder over your food, the flap will open by itself, and the grinding will commence! To stop, hold the grinder upright.FILLING IT: I chose peppercorns. Turn the clear plastic piece until it opens. After pouring in your peppercorns or salt, simply turn the clear window and lock it in place. (See position in my photo.)ADJUSTING THE COARSENESS OF THE GRIND: Open the lid at top gently. Turn clockwise for fine, counterclockwise for coarse. After that, the operation is touchless.DISPENSING: Turn on the power button at lower back. Then simply tilt the grinder over your food, and it automatically turns on and out comes your salt or pepper. Fun to use!CHARGING: plug the cord that comes with the grinder into the grinder USB port and into a USB charger.TIP: When done using it, turn off the power button. I find it may activate if you tilt the grinder a little bit while handling it.So that’s a lot of detail for a simple grinder that does a good job. I wanted to share how it works so you can make an informed decision. It’s handy, easy to use, good looking on the table or kitchen counter, and a plus in my kitchen! It’s packaged nicely and would make a good gift, too.

I have always said to friends, “once you start grinding your own pepper, you never touch a table shaker again.” I also have said, “All humans are hypocrites.” So, who knows where our hand held pepper grinder went when we moved a few years ago?? In the meantime, were were gifted a bag of organic peppercorns. They smelled incredible.Do you know what happens when you try to pestle tiny dry peppercorns in a mortar? Looks the same as when my pet rabbit used to sneak into the kitchen. Ummm, where is that old shaker?(Thanks, Denny’s).For whatever reason, getting a new grinder seemed to not be a priority until we began returning to earth post (sorta) pandemic. We had not even considered an electric grinder, but this seemed to cool not to try it! With a manual grinder, we could not control the course-ness. What a luxury! At best, we got a couple of giant pepper chunks off the counter from the mortar and pestle aftermath. Now we can stand over each other’s shoulder and offer “Would you like some fresh ground pepper on your pasta?”Of course, “YES”!But better than any waiter can offer, I know tell my boyfriend to please make that a fine grind. (Whatever, he says just do it myself). The grinder stays charged for a long time, and charges quickly when that time comes. It is stylish enough to not disrupt a nice table presentation. It is tidy, and easy to fill up. It is self explanatory to use (which is really good with anything electronic). Just remember to tip it over when pressing the button…like a normal manual grinder…not like a coffee grinder.I recommend purchasing this grinder. I plan on ordering another for salt.

My wife prefers her salt a little more coarse, so we get sea salt. I prefer mine much finer, so we compromised and got this grinder and while it’s maybe a little unnecessarily complicated as far as being both electric and rechargeable, I have to say that I’m pretty impressed with how it works for both of us.

The charge lasts a long time, the grinder works amazingly and the on/off switch makes sense to me. However, I took off one star because it can be messy. Since you have to flip it upside down to grind and there’s the flap that covers the opening, leftover salt is trapped there. It’s not a big deal, I mean you can brush it off after use but that’s an extra step to take every time. Other than that it’s an awesome gadget.

Easy to use works as expected

I got this set in the hopes of being able to grind some of my homemade peppers, but it wasn’t strong enough to grind seeds. The area to add/empty the spices is a logging small and makes it tricky to add le empty spices into it with ease. I love the color though and that it comes with a convenient stand. It is easy to charge and adds a nice element to my kitchen.
