I purchased these to have fresh ground pepper available at any time. We have added the Himalayan pink salt to the other one so we can have both. The family came to visit for a holiday and they were really impressed with them. Needless to say they ended up on the gift list the next year.The grinders each take 6 AAA batteries. I hate having to replace batteries, but they last for 2 years before needing to be replaced.The operation is really simple: Twist off the top and insert batteries.Replace top and twist to lock it.Twist off the bottom and add the pepper or salt then return and twist to lockNow you are ready to useTake the grinder and tilt it so it is upside down.The grinder will sense the tilt and operate automatically.You will hear the grinder run and the top will also provide light (nice , but not requiredP)Bring the grinder back to its upright position and it will stop.There is a knob in the middle at the top that allows you to adjust how fine or course you want the spice.They are visually pleasant and work well.The only negative that I have found is the salt/pepper is able to get into the area where the batteries are kept. The salt will make a mess and will eventually corrode the contacts. The pepper just makes a mess when you open them. So open them over the sink to avoid a mess all over the floor or counter.

I loved this set of grinders.. Very stylish and elegant on my table.. But in just a month one of the grinders stopped working . Tried changing batteries but no use. May be I got a faulty piece. Otherwise, it’s a great purchaseUpdate : very impressed with the customer service. They reached out to me after my original review and sent me a replacement free of cost (though they need not do so as there is no documented guarantee on the product)Refused the payment quoting customer satisfaction is utmost important to them. Truly blown away by the gesture and would love to buy from them again and support their business. UPDATE: I contacted the companies support and explained the situation. They were VERY responsive! Given that I had read that they give an 18 month warranty, and I had bought this in May, I thought I’m out of luck on this one. But NO! They extended the warranty as a curtesy and replaced the unit immediately! The new unit is working flawlessly. Great company and stellar customer service!In the beginning they were wonderful, by 6 months or so, constantly jammed and stopped working. Un jammed it and would work for a bit then just stop. Checked for jam, nope not that. Checked batteries, not dead but popped out of slot. This happens regularly now, my husband refuses to use it because it seems to never work for him. This time changed out the batteries to make sure, got it to work one more time. But just one time and now it’s not working again :-(Crappy product.

The set arrived well packaged and undamaged the day before Thanksgiving. All my guests would get to use it for the first time during our meal. It worked wonderfully during the meal preparation. I was a little concerned by some of the reviews and hoped it didn’t disappoint me. Everyone was curious and eager to try the set out. Over and over it was passed around the table. Over and over it performed perfectly, everyone was fascinated! It became the conversation starter for the meal. Not a single glitch occurred and continues to function as I had hoped! It matches beautifully with my stainless steel kitchen decor. So far so good, I’ll definitely update my review with concerns as the months go by.

When I ordered this product on a whim, little did I know the pure pleasure I was in for! The sleek sexy design was just as advertised. The size was pleasantly large than expected. The feeling that rushed through my body when I realized what happened when I tipped it upside-down…..tingling and ecstasy that are unmatched!! I would recommend everyone experience this but be careful…you could make a mess!!

Over the years I’ve gotten several electric grinders, and they last general 1-3 years. It’s nice to have one handed use while cooking with messy hands. But I think by nature they are not going to be as long lasting a manual grinder. That being said I decided to try this gravity one and it works well. Easy to install and change the size of grinder. After about a month it stopped working and I opened it and noticed there were two batteries that were rusted/acidic. I contacted the company and they provided a replacement quickly that does work. They noted to use the brush included to make sure it’s clean. I don’t know how any pepper would’ve gotten in there so I periodically check now.I give it four stars, but I still recommend it. If it can last longer than a year without issues I might upgrade to five stars.Great costumer service.

I fought hard not to give in, but the arthritis finally won. These electric grinders are great, I absolutely love them. No painful turning the knob to grind the salt and pepper, simply turn the unit down and the light comes on so you can see it grind as course or fine as you like! Five stars plus!!

My first set didn’t work but the seller was great and without me asking, sent a replacement. They work amazingly. Just tilt and the motor activates automatically and the grind size is adjustable and their is an automatic light so you can see what is coming out.
