I never thought I would be excited about a cutting board, but I have bought so many different kinds and they get scarred so food and liquid seep in. This boad is hardwood bamboo so it doesn’t dull my knife and as of yet it hasn’t scarred, it may, but it is so easy to clean that I feel that it isn’t holding on to things that will produce bacteria.This comes with a lifetime guarantee so I felt comfortable buying it (not terrible expensive even for the Xlarge). Happy with my purchase.

This board is study and attractive. There was an option to buy a used board so I figured, why not? Somebody probably returned it and the packaging may not be new but I am all for saving the environment and not needing something brand new. That was a misassumption on my part. There was a deep scratch in the board and dark marks the shape of wide tape. It was not sticky but quite discolored. There was no odor. Had my husband not been able to sand and remove these defects I would have sent it back. I now have a beautiful new, smooth board that has been oiled and serves the function for which I purchased it.

The extra large is the perfect size for all purpose everyday usage. After reading an article about how micro plastics get into our food by using those plastic cutting boards and doing some research, this was the best one I could find. It is finished well and is very sturdy. Make sure to keep it oiled and don’t wash in the dishwasher.
