This baking mat suites my needs in making pie, pizza crusts, as well as preparing food in general such as tacos, burritos. Itβs large enough to avoid making a mess on my kitchen counter top. The print on the mat is useful. My βbutβ applies to the description being βextra thick.β This baking mat has no thickness to it. It serves its purpose but itβs thin. Itβs easy to wash & I hang it in my laundry room to dry. I am glad I did get it on sale as itβs nothing special vs. other baking mats that are less expensive than the regular price of this baking mat. I recommend but **no thickness** It does lie flat with zero issue.

Well, my use for this mat is very off-label. I use this to keep glue off my workbench when I’m gluing up woodworking items. You can get a silicon mat from Rockler or another woodworking store, but like for weddings, you pay an upcharge for no apparent purpose. The mat stays clean (glue pops right up) is super durable (after almost 100 glue ups (getting pounded by planks, clamps, hammers and many curses (if you know you know)) they still look brand new) and is larger than the largest woodworking mat. If you are in the market for a silicon mat to keep your woodworking bench clean, this is your mat.

I initially purchased this for myself, but was so impressed by it, I reordered 3 (XL) more as Christmas gifts for family members! I have used it several time and noticed that itβs easy to clean and store. As noted on the product, you can NOT use a knife with it. I did cut out cookies, but didnβt have to press very hard, since the dough was very soft. The mat covers a large area, and has markings for measurements.

Overall great product. Pros: sticks to counter and does not move when rolling out dough, but comes off very easily. Pros: bc of size it is slightly difficult to clean by hand or put in the DW. Also, it requires some adjusting when you stick it down at first bc of bubbles and or angles. Would recommend.

I love my new silicone pastry mat. I am an avid baker, and I baked a pie and bagels this weekend. With the pie crust dough, I did use a little bit of flour on the mat as my dough tends to stick, and tear easily when I try to remove. I love the way the mat stays on my counter top and does not move. Cleans up easily and stores easily. With my bagels, again I used a little flour on the mat first simply because it makes forming the balls of dough much easier. Definitely the best pastry tool any baker needs! I cannot wait to try it with my Christmas cookies; rolling out the dough and using the cookie cutters.
