I bought a new grill (with stainless steel grates) and wanted to find something to clean it that didn’t have wire bristles due to safety concerns. I’ve seen this tool advertised and though it’s expensive, thought I’d try it.I’ve only used my grill twice since receiving the Grill Rescue. I tried cleaning the grill immediately after using the grill and found it didn’t clean all of the residue from the grates. However, before using the grill for the second time, I preheated it and used the Grill Rescue again. This time, after a couple of applications, all of the residue was removed.I was worried that the pad would burn or scorch but so far that doesn’t seem to be happening. So far I’m impressed with the tool’s use of steam to clean the grates. I’m interested to see how the pad holds up to repeated uses. The good news is that the pad is replaceable and replacements are reasonably priced.Other than initial cost, my only “complaint” is that the tool desperately needs a hole in the handle for hanging. Most tools like this have a hole at the end of the handle and I’m considering drilling one.

I love how great this thing cleans, but getting the reusable pad off is too hard for me. My small hands canβt grip the tabs tightly enough, so I have to stick the whole thing (handle & pad) in my dishwasher. Wish there was an easier way to remove the pad.

Perfect additional to my Kamado Joe accessories. I use 1/2 cast iron grate and 1/2 cast iron griddle on my kamado Joe. I clean the grates right after grilling, and this cleaner heads cleans very well. Effectively, you are wiping down with water and a tough cloth. Once the water is dried, I finish off with light oil seasoning. The grates look practically new every time.If you are serious about cleaning your grates, there is no grill brush which even comes close. The downside is the price. This should not be so expensive.

To expensive compared to a regular grill brush which will do the same.

I should have bought one of these years ago. It’s legit, worth the money. Just buy it.

…and not some whole new item you have to purchase. Popped the old one off and popped this one right on with ease. I only gave it 4 stars because the scraper just gets a flat surface area on the grill grate and not so much in between. The sponge part sometimes picks off those charred pieces but not all. Would be nice to have a groove on the scraper but I guess not all grates are spaced the same. Maybe on the next version, there could be a second scraper on the back or side that can target one grate at a time for those hard to reach parts.
