This pepper grinder is an average product. It fills as shown, but it seems to indicate there is an adjustment level for size of grind. There are no specific instructions to do this. Several pictures on the side of the box but none helpful. I had to go back to the Amazon product page to see that the adjustment for fine was to turn the dial clockwise, with more coarse requiring a counter clockwise turn. The manufacturer couldn’t just put that image on the box?Even adjusted, I did not get a uniform grind. There are larger chunks in with the fine grind. I’ll keep the product as it is a second pepper grinder and I can live with a few larger chunks of pepper when preparing my own food.

I was so tired of buying ground garlic and having the holes clog up that I decided to try this Peppermill and it works beautifully! You can adjust the amount of product that is dispensed so even fine garlic can still come out lightly. Another reason I got tired of using the pre-packaged garlic dispensers was that the holes were usually too big and although I love to cook with garlic, I don’t want it coming out like sugar. This spice mill works beautifully for me and it’s nice that you can see how much garlic is left through the glass bottle. If for any reason you have to clean it, it’s very easy to clean. The pieces in the head/grinder section do you come apart so be careful that you don’t lose anything because some of the pieces are small. But other than that, it’s a snap to clean. I recommend this for product other than just pepper. I’m thinking of getting another one for cinnamon (which I also use on a fairly regular basis) as it also tends to just pour out of the containers far too much. This would slow that down and allow me to regulate easily how much cinnamon I want to use.
