This meat thermometer is amazing! The flexible probe makes it easy to take the temperature of the meat while staying away from splashing oil. Before I bought this, I was simply trying to estimate whether the meat was hot and I think now it seems like may have been overcooking it. The temp reading comes so fast, I wasn’t even sure if it was done. Also a magnet, came with an extra battery, temp instructions for different meat and on top of the, amazing customer service! I didn’t even have any problems and still somehow the team went above and beyond to delight me as a customer.

I bought this to replace another thermometer I had for years. I couldn’t believe how fast the readings were. Its a great size and I love that it has a magnet so I can attach it to the refrigerator so its always there when I need it. The display is nice and large. I really appreciate that!!! The design is great in that the probe folds right into itself. There are no caps or covers for me to lose. It has a hold feature so the next reading will start from the last temp. Honestly, I don’t use that feature because it already gives you such a quick reading. It also has the Max and Min settings along with the button to light up the display. I love the temperature chart for the different meats. It saves me from having to look it up and again it is a great size so it is easy to read. I am really impressed with this thermometer and the price is great too. You won’t regret this purchase!

I work in the restaurant industry and this is what I needed to ensure my burgers and other meats are cooked to the right temperature. One thing to make sure of is calibrating the thermometer to 32 degrees F or 0 degrees C which is the temperature of ice water roughly. This is to make sure your thermometer is reading a more accurate temperature. A problem I had is the type of beef I had and the way it is packaged can cause discrepancies in the reading. If the meat is fatty like wagyu then it will not read right unless you press the meat against the thermometer while the probe is in the middle. If the beef (other than wagyu), it may not read correctly if the manufacturer made the meat too compact but always look with your eyes to double check.

We’ve killed more meat thermometers than I can count, usually by leaving them in the sink. This is by far the best thermometer we’ve had so far. Things I like about it are: if it accidentally sits in the sink it still survives; the pointy bit folds in so I’m not afraid of accidentally stabbing anyone, more specifically myself; it turns off automatically when it’s folded up and turns on when it opens, and also times out when not in use; it has a nice big display for aging eyes; it has a magnet so it affixes to the side of the stove so we can always find it; and it has a handy meat temperature guide printed on it so I don’t have go looking for proper temps if I forget. Overall, highly recommend.

I rarely use a thermometer when I cook for most things I can usually tell but cooking in a pressure cooker can be a different matter. Especially if the item is thick, like a meatloaf it’s a good idea to check the internal temperature when cooking with a pressure cooker. I also use it when grilling thick cuts of meat or chicken leg quarters to be sure it’s done all the way through. This one is nice because it turns on when you unfold the probe and off when you fold it back and it’s got a magnet on it so you can just slap it on the fridge when not in use. Adjustable for C or F temp standard.
