First things first, I’m coming from a Weber iGrill2, which I found out was reading temps ALL wrong and resulting in overcooked everything in my smoker, not ok, also that ran on 4x AA batteries, not fun when you’re smoking for 8-14 hrs at a time. That said, the USB rechargeable aspect of this was a very welcomed upgrade, kudos to inkbird for that. The temps I found to be spot on, again, kudos, just produced an amazing pork shoulder on its inaugural run. HOWEVER – bluetooth range on this is truly awful, from my smoker to my house is maybe 15 ft, maybe, stepped inside – disconnect, pleasant alarm to let me know. Reconnect, find spot in window where connection seems stable, leave phone there – sort of defeats the purpose, I can read the temp on the unit on the smoker from the window, ugh. Then, apparently as the pork was nearing completion, it disconnected again, with no alarm, my kid came in and told me the thing was beeping- went out, yep, temp reached, no alert on phone b/c the flimsy bluetooth connection. I’ll keep it, because I used it, and it is accurate, but I’m shopping for a longer range alternative.

Iβve been reveling in my dadβs smoked meat my entire life. Last year he gave me one of his smokers since heβs gotten to the point he canβt do it anymore. I decided to take up the task of smoking some brisket for his 75th birthday. Iβve smoked a few in the past but really wanted to step up my game.My research combined with this very handy and easy to use blue tooth thermometer allowed me to monitor the internal temperature of the meat and smoker in real time. The graphs of temperature changes for each probe are very helpful. It increased my stress and attention, more than the temp gauge on the lid of the smoker which didnβt fluctuate much, but the result was incredible. Iβm so excited to smoke more now!Weβll see how it holds up, but it was well worth the price!

My first review I wrote about my unit melting on the back and one of the magnets coming out. Was not happy. Since than I contacted the companies customers service and they were quick to replace the unit. There was no hassle with them and was done with email and I received the new unit in a few days. The thermometer worked great and I was very pleased with it before the problem and now Iβm totally convinced I made the right choice to purchase this brand and model because of the outstanding customer service I received. Thank you InkBird!

So almost two years in with this thermometer and it has been awesome. I have literally abused the hell out of it. I has been in the elements since January 2020 and it is now November 2022. It has been wet, dry and sun baked. I have only been able to kill one probe, and it was not the ambient temp one. I would give this 6 stars if I could. I use it all the time on the smoker and on occasion with the oven indoors. Is it accurate? 100% accurate, well maybe within a degree or two. Would I recommend it or buy again? Yes, yes I would. It has worked longer than I ever expected. This past time, hence the review, I expected to find it dead. I left out in the weather as always, but this time it fell on the porch during a flood and it is still kicking. I give it two ?.

This is a great product. The reception range is much better than the blue tooth thermometer it replaced. I like having a heat probe for the grill temperature and three for the food. The app is easy to use but could use some improvements. The app issues do not compromise the great quality of the thermometer.

It would be nice to have specs for replacement probes. Would be nice if waterproof. Durable enough. Installing the app on my phone was easy enough. Getting the settings correct on the phone was confusing. Itβs a good replacement for the Morpilot 6 channel.

I am using the device for the second time with my electric smoker and I LOVE the convenience. I am in the kitchen (two rooms away from the deck) and I haven’t lost the signal to my phone. Once it hits the internal temperature I want, an alarm goes off! I hope this lasts a while, because this is awesome.

I love using this when cooking a lot of steaks. The color coding on the probes is super ideal. The unit is great and the Android app is pretty solid. (I’d hope for a better timer, tho)The thing to note is that the weak point of many of these units is the probe. I find that over time, they just start to fail (obviously since they are exposed to extreme environments). I’d suggest testing probes before you use them….i do this by wiggling bending the probe end because if there’s a short, you’ll see the temp spike up. Just have a few spares on hand.
