This jar opener can be difficult . I have had two problems with it. 1) It can slip off the jar. If your jar has large curved shoulders like a big pickle jar, the opener can slip up off the jar. 2) When the opener slips off the jar it will often still hold onto the lid and continue running until you pry it off. The solution is to apply constant downward pressure on the opener. These issues could be a problem if you are buying this because you have limited strength. But in the end, it will open jars.

I surprised my mom with this can opener so that she can use instead of having to use her hands because she has tendinitis. She loved it and said that she wasn’t sure it would open the smallest jar but it did. Now I don’t have to open jars for her and she can still be independent!

I had a lot of trouble opening jars as I have no strength in my hands. This is a great device once I learned how to use it. Easy peasy opening jars now. I bought two as Christmas gifts and hope the recipients like them as much as I do.

Works pretty well. Annoying you have to hold the button down so long. I think that will make it hard for my parents to use. There should be a beep or something letting you know it’s active. If you let off before the 15-20 sec activation it’ll just run in reverse.

I have carpel tunnel and had to wait for someone else to open most of my jarred food.This is easy peasy to use and it works GREAT.My only problem was that I wanted to open all my jars right away!5 HUGE STARS!

As I get older it’s harder to open jars. I actually avoided anything in a jar because my hands couldn’t open them. With this handy little tool, I can enjoy food stuffs in jars once more. I don’t feel helpless. I was a little tricky getting the batteries in, After figuring it out it’s very user friendly. It makes a big pop at the end it was a bit startling at first however, I’m used to it now. I bought one for my father as he lives on his own and this is a great tool for opening jars.
