I bought the pebble gray version at $24.96; it is now $19.96 with the current deal. My first impression on taking this straw out of the envelope was that it might be a nice curved bombilla for drinking yerba mate. In a standard metal bombilla, the straw does not protrude down into the filter, which allows a strong suction to compress the loose yerba (herbs) around the filter, supposedly to better extract more nutrients from the “tea”.This straw is well made and the filter will easily keep loose leaves, grounds, or pieces of fruit or other herbs in the cup and out of the straw and out of the drinker’s mouth. It is long enough so you can comfortably drink through it from your average 20-ounce capacity Yeti type tumbler, but the curved top and slightly flared mouth means you won’t be placing this straw through the straw opening of any tumbler or mug lid I have ever seen. I still don’t like the texture and feel of silicone, so I probably won’t be using the mouth piece cover that comes with this straw. I notice that an extra filter for the Gojo unit costs almost as much as this whole kit that comes complete with a draw-string closing mesh bag, a nice zipper close bag, and the silicone tip cover and filter installed. The filter design means that you need GoJo’s filter, and I doubt you will find anybody else’s straw that can fit it, until a copycat competitor becomes available.I think that calling this a “brewing” system is a bit of a semantic stretch unless you consider the act of stirring your tea leaves or coffee grounds and mixing in other additives to be “brewing”. With the five dollar price drop since I bought one, I might get a second one in a different color. I compares favorably in most respects to a number of Argentine and Brazilian bombillas I have bought for similar prices. Now, if Gojo could offer it in additional colors, like Red?

Look, I’m a big hammock camper and I like to pack light. This is the coolest thing I have ever purchased for camping. I can now bring loose leaf tea with me and just drop them into my mug with hot water and use the straw to mix and drink.I can now pour fresh ground coffee beans into my cup and drink straight from my mug. No more filters and straining in the woods.I’m even using this straw at home with my loose leaf tea. No more using tea balls and spoons to mix my tea or worry about drinking tea pieces. The straws filter is perfect and easy to clean.I’m buying two more, one for my wife and another for me to take to work.

I love this thing and it came at a perfect time! I got a little sore throat (care of my kids) and I would normally make this tea that has ginger and lemon peels that you mix in with the water, I never usually finish it cause I donβt like getting all the βdebrisββ¦ I used this straw and drank every single drop because this straw kept all the gunk out! My kid even used it and enjoyed it cause again.. NO GUNKβ¦ it was so easy to cleanβ¦ I look forward to pulp drinks now cause I can use this π

The person I bought this for absolutely loved it. He said it changed his life. He liked it so much he bought one for a friend of his. He prefers to drink coffee through a straw to keep his teeth stay pearly white. The silicone tip on the end was perfect too to keep the hot beverage from burning his lips. He noted that allowing time for the ground coffee to steep in the hot water make a huge difference in the taste = delicious.

This straw has really changed my whole coffee routine. I initially bought it for camping, but have now packed away my Keurig and use the Jogo all the time. Super easy to clean (when was the last time I cleaned the Keurig or regular coffeemaker??), very little on the countertop, no waste. I’m getting more for friends!

The straw works as advertised, I have made loose leaf tea and coffee with it and the tea and coffee stayed in the cup.Due to the tea or coffee staying in the cup until the drink is finished, I have noticed that the tastes of these beverages have been a little richer. I have enjoyed this purchase.

As a minimalist who wants very few items in my home this passes my initial requirement of being small and having two uses as a filter and regular reusable straw.2nd my fave color is aqua blue.3rd use at work. I currently have an aeropress which is great but uses up my entire break at work when preparing it and I refuse to use the single use packages of coffee that are not environmentally friendly or their machines because no one is as clean as I am, which brings me to another requirement,4th must be easy to clean. As someone who takes their klean kanteen lid off and removes all 5 parts to clean every crevice, every time I use it, one could think this girl might have a little bit of OCPD when It comes to cleanlinessβ¦. βNotices dust on baseboards and spends 30 mins cleaningβ. Anyway where was I.I can take the filter off and boil in hot water with sodium percarbonate and no residue is left. It also worked great with my Japanese Sencha leaves. γγγγγγγ°γγγ !!γγγγ¨γγγγγΎγγ

I bought this for my travel kit. When it arrived I tried it and the coffee tastes so much better than my automatic drip coffee I have been using it daily!
