This seems to be a pretty good quality salad spinner. It is taller and narrower than my old one, which is fine because it holds enough salad and doesn’t take up as much room in my limited cupboard space. I have previously used an older pull-string style Zyliss brand salad spinner, and this one seems comparable, although the plastic feels different and I worry that it will become brittle over time. I am curious how long the spinning lever wheel and locking hinges at the top will last because moving parts are usually the first failure point and the plastic bits that hold the hinges are pretty tiny. I really like the locking lid so that the top doesn’t fall off when I’m draining the water. Also, the grip material on the bottom is a thoughtful design. I am disappointed that although the outer pieces say dishwasher safe there is a big warning page enclosed that says the basket is hand wash only. Hopefully no one forgets and melts it in my dishwasher, as that’s where most everything ends up in my household. Overall, I’m satisfied with this product for the price, I just hope it lasts awhile!
