The idea of this measuring spoon is great. The execution needs a little work. I’ve got middle aged eyes that make it hard to see the measurement lines or be sure where to position them. The slider is fairly stiff, which on the plus side means once set it will hold the correct volume, but still makes it a little awkward to adjust.I could not for the life of me disassemble it as shown in the instructions. Maybe it needed too much strength to press down on one end, or to slide it far enough to pop off. So I’ve only used it once (with attendant awkwardness thanks to needing a number of different spices and having only the one scoop, though at least I don’t mind traces of one spice getting into another jar). Cleaning will be too hard if I can’t get the slider out.

I wanted this to replace my measuring spoons. It measures solids but not liquids. I used it to measure out 1 tablespoon of vanilla and the liquid seeped under the slider piece. I’ll still use it to measure flours, salt, baking powder, and so forth but now I need a set of measuring spoons that measures liquid too.

I had a Pampered Chef version of this that got destroyed when someone used it to measure boiling broth. This Joseph Joseph one is very hefty and hace a nice rubber feeling to it that ensures what youβre measuring is correct.

Does what I needed: repeatedly measure one fixed irregular quantity of powder originally measured by weight. It stays in the set position reliably, and the rim is perfectly flat so I can scrape off the excess with a straightedge. Haven’t tried on liquid, and I don’t want to lose the setting by disassembly for washing, so I just store it separately in plastic bag.

I’ve only used it once so far but it did what I needed it to do . I’m not using it for use in the kitchen , I’m using it for my plant stuff .

This adjustable measuring spoon works very well and is easy to use. The problem I found was that the top is black and the numbers are also black, making it pretty difficult to read. I’m not sure why they would do that, but they did.

What a great idea to have one adjustable measuring tool.It comes apart into two parts when you need it to for cleaning inside.Measurement marks are notched in, not painted on, so no worry of fading.

Like most people, the old school measuring spoons were my usual go-to. This little gadget piqued my interest so decided to give it a shot. I like the smart, space design and easy operation. So far it’s working smoothly. I chose this over a metal version because I’ve read that they tend to rust. I’ll keep the OG spoons on hand in case this doesn’t work out but I’m not expecting any major malfunctions.
