As I always do, before I bought this item, I read the negative reviews, seeing what other buyers had issues with. It is true, that it will drain batteries if left in scale during any lengthy store. No big deal, take them out. They fit in box with scale. Another negative review mentioned how the read-out would flutter with nothing on it. I observed same thing. What I did to correct this was close the door so there wasn’t a breeze blowing across scale. I did not calibrate scale with weights. I use it to measure ingredients for baking, For me, it works very well, even with some of the smallest measurements. The buttons are sealed so I don’t have to worry about flour getting in the cover. One thing I would change is the auto-shut off time. Seems a bit short. I am very satisfied with scale and would recommend.

I purchased this a few months ago and have used it once or twice since. It has worked fine, and does what is intended to do and I was pretty happy with it. When I went to use it recently, it was dead; the display would not even illuminate. No problem, I figured it was the batteries. I removed the original, no-name-brand batteries that came with it and replaced them with Energizer Max alkaline batteries. To my surprise, the scale did not power up. It took a little while, but I finally figured out that the positive (+) contact of the battery was being prevented from touching the scale’s contact by two plastic protrusions molded into the case. In the photos I have attached, you can see the battery area itself and a close-up of the contact area. The red circle shows where the battery is not making contact. If you jump this small gap with a little screwdriver, the scale works correctly. The arrows point to the plastic protrusions that are preventing contact. Alternatively, the metal contact area for the positive terminal could have been fabricated to reach closer to the battery to ensure contact. I ended up taking a very small washer and slipping it between the battery and the contact to bridge the gap, and the scale has worked fine since. But that’s not something that the user should have to worry about. As I said, except for this serious error, the scale works fine.

Very accurate yet the top falls off with 2 way tape. Rediculous

Fantastic scale for the price, fits almost perfectly on my bambino drip tray (two corners just barely hang off the edge but doesn’t seem to affect the weight). Unfortunately when adding tiny amounts like .1g it will not register it unless you add more add, but that is a common issue with most cheaper scales.Great deal, you won’t get much better scales than this for espresso unless you spend 5x as much.Still working great after about 8 months but unfortunately one of the tiny little rubber feet came off after a few weeks and vanished, so the scale rocks a tiny bit.

Excellent scaleβespecially for the price. Upon receiving the scale I tested its accuracy by comparing its measurements to another high end scale that I have which is accurate down to 1mg (.001 grams).I tested this by weighing an item that I knew to weigh 10.565 grams. And when I weighed that item on this kitchen scale it weighed it as 10.5 grams. It didn’t round up to 10.6 grams until I added another 1 mg (.001 grams). It should have rounded up to 10.6 when the item weighed 10.555 but it didn’t round up to 10.6 until I put 10.566 grams on the scale. That’s not bad at all. So this scale is super accurate. This scale also does not fluctuate like many cheap scales do. It reads the same weight every time I put an item on it.

Seems to be accurate. I only weigh 1 pound propane cylinders that I have refilled to avoid over filling them.

This scale would be great for spices or something small. Larger pieces of food or measuring bigger items, the platform is too small.

Seems like now and then it reads off.
