I had another battery operated can opener I used and it was a hassle to keep the parts together in the kitchen drawer. When the other brand died after a couple of years I decided to try a different model and brand. This particular model works perfectly and doesnβt have any loose parts to get lost in the drawer. If it werenβt for this can opener I wouldnβt be able to open any cans as I have arthritis in both of my hands. I loved it so much I got one for a friendβs mother who can use a manual can opener. This opener is so simple to work. You put on the can and push the bottom on top. It cycles around the can without any assistance. You can walk away and continue cooking and stand there in awe watching. The edges of the can are not sharp due to the way the device cuts the top off. This truly is a necessary devise for all kitchens, especially for anyone with weak hands or arthritis.

I bought this can opener for my momβ¦ she has arthritis and is unable to twist a normal can opener easily. This was a great gift!!! She thought it was crazy to $30 on a can opener, but itβs so easy for her to use that she QUICKLY changed her mind. She just sets it on Top of the can, hits the button, and in a minute it has the top off with no sharp edges! She loves it so much that we got one for my Brother (he only has function of one of his hands, not both) and he loves it as well (itβs hard to do things one handed)!!! It has been months since we started using it and had no issues yet. It take ALOT of batteries, and weβve already had to replace them more often than I expected, but itβs still a wonderful product.

At first I thought it didn’t work…I tried to open a can of tuna with it and the lid didn’t come off. On my second can attempt, though, I realized that the lids don’t just pop off. Sometimes you have to wiggle them off. They are completely cut, but the way this opener works, right at the lid/can crimp, seems to keep the vacuum of the can, so you have to give it a bit of a lift to finally get the lid off. The best thing about the opener is that you just position it on the can lid, press the button, and it’s hands free after that. No manual effort twisting a handle around a can! This seems ideal for people with arthritis or grasping difficulties. And, it’s much smaller than a standing electric can opener.

My mom wanted this for her birthday so I ordered it. It’s been a few months now and I was video chatting with her while she was cooking she used her can opener. It creates metal shavings on the can edge. She got injured while we were chatting. She said the metal shavings happen often. She said she always gets poked by the shavings. Also she mentioned that it is hard for her to remove the opener away from the cans.We got this for her because of arthritis. Now she will need a Tetanus shot.I should also mention she said it is picky about the can size. It has a hard time opening small cans like tomato paste.

I have had this can opener for over a year and this week was the first time I have had to change the batteries. I did have to use it a few times to figure out how it works best. When removing it from the can leave it flat and pull up and back that has been the best way for me. I have had electric can openers but this is, by far, much easier to use and no messy build up. I ordered this one for a Christmas gift for a friend with RA.

Was time to replace the ? on the counter and been eyeing this one for a while was on a prime sale so I got it works great put on top on the can line it push button like it do itβs good . Pretty easy have notice some cans take a 2 x around to open all the way but that ok . Clean opening and safe so you donβt get cut on the can and you donβt have to push to open can have done that and lost the tip of my finger ?. So get one and enjoy

I like the way it removes the top of the pop top cans. I use it for my dogs food. I want to remove the wet dog food in 1 pieces so I can cut it in 4 equal portions. The pop top cans prevent me from doing this. This can opener cuts from the side of the can not the top. Works wonderfully.

It is simple in construction and use be it might be a bit noisy when at work. It also may take some getting use to to get the correct positioning for the contraption to be used or else you may need to try a few times. All in all though it is very much straight forward and with a decent means of alignment the cut is crisp and clean all the way through. It is a lovely tool all in all and is pretty small to store after use.
