I just received my second Kizen waterproof food thermometer. I dropped my old one and broke it – my fault. I am not a great cook, and dropping things is common for me. I currently do a lot of frozen bowls or meals using a little stovetop cooking or a little baking or a little microwaving. I never used a thermometer until my first Kizen a couple of years ago. I didn’t realize how dependent I would become on assuring some things were cooked to at least 165F. I feel more confident that warming over leftovers is safe, and I love to have a way to check that I have adequately cooked a pot pie, a sausage, etc without cooking it to a crisp. My second Kizen arrived with a battery in place, so it was ready to use right out of the box, though instructions do suggest it be washed first. There was also a spare battery, four velcro rounds sets, a meat temperature chart, instructions and tips. It states there is a small magnet built in to help store/hang it, but I used the velcro rounds on both of mine. There is also a large round hanger end if you prefer that. I keep my Kizen thermometer right next to my stove top, and simply reach over, open it up, and place it in the center area of whatever I am cooking. So easy to use, inexpensive, very accurate, and I don’t plan to be without one ever again! It would be an appreciable Christmas gift for family, co-workers, or stocking stuffers.

Going from the small old school thermometer with the white face, red needle, and small black numbers. This was an awesome upgrade. I don’t have to squint and of course like a ding dong head not lean my face into the cooking area to read the temp. I’ve honestly singed a few hairs not using my noggin. So to start the numbers are big and legible, and the background blue light really makes it readable. It turns on when you pull out the probe and shuts off when you push it back. You guys came in clutch right on time for Thanksgiving. I only have one question, what are the velcro discs for? Oh and the extra batteries are a great extra. Thank you sooo much Kizen for making an affordable, durable, and easy to use thermometer.

The probe on the thermometer is just about the length of the thermometer itself, so you can use it on the Thanksgiving turkey or ham or even small things like chicken wings! But really, my favorite feature is the fact that it has a magnet so you can stick it on the side of the fridge and always know where it is. ????

Donβt spend a ton of money on a thermo. Iβve had this for over a year, it comes calibrated and I recently tested it on boiling water, 212F 100C exactly, still! Even includes a handy guide right on it for different meats in case you forget or arenβt sure although I would definitely pull your steaks before theyβre 130 unless you like medium

I had an old school non digital thermometer that was pretty much useless. So I decided to get a digital one in hopes of quick readings. I was not disappointed with this one. It can in. Iβve packaging with good instructions and table of readings for various meats. It also has a quick guide on the guage itself. Basically, you swing out the probe and it turns on. The temp reads nearly immediately. Huzzah, exactly what I wanted. And I love the very strong magnet on the thermometer. I stick it to the side of the over oven microwave. Really nice product!

Great product at a reasonable cost that works great. I use this on a regular basis when cooking thick pork chops. When the reading hits 145 degrees I know I’m about to enjoy a delicious and juicy pork chop. Just can’t get this result without having a meat thermometer. Have also used this when smoking pork shoulder with excellent results. If you like looking on the grill or smoking meats, this product is a must and the price is very reasonable.

Have purchased MANY meat thermometers throughout my life – some expensive, some inexpensive – and, frankly, they all either started out as useless, or became useless in no time at all. SO disappointing! But this one, so far anyway, has been the very best. Number one – it’s accurate!!! Then it is also easy to use, to clean, to read, to store. What else could you possibly want in a thermometer? I bought 3 to share with friends.

I need to determine the temperature for baking popovers. In order to get them to pop up and create that hollow muffin and tasty flavor, two ingredients must be at a certain temperature. This digital thermometer works perfectly. My guests loved them and I credit the accuracy of the thermometer for my success. I intend to use the Kizen thermometer for meats on the BBQ.
