Is it perfect? No, but for $20 this is the best I’ve seen. I had a chance to test more than a dozen of these cheap Chinese kitchen scales and I can provide a few facts for those wanting to spend around $20-$40. First, almost all except the very cheapest use the same weight sensing electronics which can be decent if you understand a few things. You must have the scale resting on its own feet on a flat level surface and away from breezes, vibration, and strong electromagnetic fields. Also pick up a decent set of accurate calibration weights. You can get these for less than the cost of the scale and just one recipe not ruined will pay for them. Before you weigh anything, each time use a cal. wgt. in the range you will be measuring and test the scale in 6-8 locations on the scale weighing surface to make sure you are getting the accuracy and precision you need. Many times you will get totally different readings if you place the weight in the middle or closer to the edge. If this happens make sure scale is totally level on a flat surface resting on its own feet and keep checking until all the readings are within 1 gram before counting on the accuracy. This scale will not register below 3 grams unless you use the combo technique. Put a 5 gram cal. wgt. on the scale and then add yours to it and subtract 5 to get the tiny amount. It is not going to be very accurate as this scale is only +- 1 gram at best but if that is good enough for your needs then this scale is accurate within that range. I like the fact that it is rechargeable and has a blue led display. If you have ordered other scales and thought they were not accurate, I can tell you that this and every scale I tested would give highly inaccurate readings, often off by as much as 300%, when only off level by no more than 3% or 4%. I also noted when they were sitting near an operating microwave, wild drifting readings were displayed. Use the cal. weights and save frustration. I have just used this for 3 days so if it starts going, as always I will update.

I absolutely love the quality and convenience of use. The scale operates as described. I love it!! It is also mobile. I am not tied to an outlet ?. The scale is accurate and very easy to understand. My recipes come out as great as a bakery. My recipes are precise now. I love it.

I’ve been using it daily for almost 11 months. It’s great. I charged it may be two or three times this whole time. It’s washable, which is also great. The one confusing thing may be is, when it needs charging, it stops functioning, but does not get dim or give any sort of message. It just freezes. So at first I thought it broke, but once I charged it, it went right back to working properly. Good scale for the price.
