I was very skeptical about paying this much money for a garlic press, even though I read that Cookβs Illustrated magazine had tested, reviewed, and rated this product as their number one recommended garlic press. However, this garlic press lives up to its reputation. It is heavy duty, and it squeezes every little bit out of the garlic. With my previous press, there was always quite a bit of garlic left behind after I squeezed it. With this garlic press, there is only the thinnest little bit of skin left behind. This press is also very easy to squeeze, even with large pieces of garlic; it requires very little hand strength. It is also extremely easy to clean by simply running it under hot water in your sink. I am so happy that I bought this garlic press, and I highly recommend it.

I was wondering why this garlic press was so expensive until I got it, then I could see why. Itβs very well made, easy to use, and clean.

This garlic press works very well. You need to use a lot less pressure to push the garlic through than you need with other garlic presses. There is no need to peel the cloves first. It is also easy to clean. It costs more than other brands but is totally worth the price.

This press has been great. Until it fell apart finally. It isn’t a lifetime piece of equipment despite the price.

Yes, it’s expensive but all the other garlic presses take awhile to clean – pick out the papery skin from the little holes. Not with the Kuhn Rikon. If cooking is your forte and you want to streamline the inefficiency, buy this garlic press. The hammer on the Rikon, pushes all the fresh garlic out and it is a breeze to clean.

I’ve had so many varieties of garlic presses in the past but this one is hands down, my favorite. I no longer have to peel garlic cloves before pressing and it’s so easy to clean. If you get the garlic peels and residue off right away, there’s no issue with garlic jamming the holes. It’s also very easy to use and I don’t know how others have had problems with pinching fingers because this is a pretty uncomplicated gadget. The press is heavy duty stainless steel, it’s very well made and I expect that it will be the last garlic press I’ll ever buy.

Best press by far and I have tried lots of them.
