These narrow-necked bottle friendly ice cubes are very convenient when you make them convenient. Sometimes they are a pain in the buns to extract, especially if you over-fill the tray. Best practice is to routinely pop them out and add them to your other ice cube repository and keep them flowing. If you are in a hurry and you want to snap out 5 or 6 it will take you a little longer than you are probably anticipating. So far it seems like a fairly sturdy product for what I use it for. Don’t overfill it though. It just makes the ice cubes too chunky to fit in the narrow bottle neck!

The cubes are about 1/2 by 1/2 by 3 inches, so they are not tiny but they do fit in water bottles very nicely. I hike a lot in hot places and these will be perfect for that. They are also rather low profile so I’m hoping will work well in the “mini fridges” that one often finds in motels, etc. The cubes slide right out with a squeeze from the back. There is enough of a lip around the cubes such that you can fill them with water and not spill it all over the floor while putting it in the freezer.

I live in a very hot climate where itβs essential to carry water bottles everywhere you go for several months out of the year to avoid dehydration, and I have chronic joint pain due to a connective tissue disorder. I like to have ice in my water bottles because I donβt always have the time to refrigerate them for hours and donβt want the water to turn lukewarm or just plain hot while Iβm out. The problem is, hard plastic ice trays are out of the question for me due to my joint pain, and certain silicone models (like the ones that create little semi-spherical ice cubes) aggravate my hand pain as well when I pop the cubes out, especially doing it over and over. These ice trays are a blessing from the heavens, I swear! Popping the ice out is a piece of cakeβjust use extremely minimal effort with the tips of your index fingers to push both ends of the cube out at once. Unlike previous trays, so far I havenβt had the ice freeze to the sides of the compartments and become hard to remove. They make quite a bit of ice (but not in too many piecesβrather several long pieces), itβs easy to fit them in the narrow mouth of a water bottle, theyβre incredibly easy to fill, and can be stacked and carried over to the freezer with minimal mess thanks to the covers. So far no leakage from the bottoms or sides of the trays, unlike the set I just threw out. And both the trays and covers are dishwasher safe.My one quibble is that the covers donβt really lock perfectly and are a bit prone to warping, but I find this a small price to pay for a great reduction in repetitive motion-related hand pain from everyday use. If your hands, knuckles, and/or fingers make it difficult or even impossible to use other ice trays, your prayers have been answered at last!

I have a few travel containers that I take with me for water or iced tea. Always had to put ice cubes under the faucet of hot water to make them fit in. This solves the problem. I can even add them directly into my Pure Leaf iced tea. Saves time & energy to just pop a few of these narrow ice sticks in.

Pros: I really like the shape.Cons: I find it a little difficult to pop the cubes out.The ice cubes are small so it takes almost a whole tray for just one glass.

Liked the flexibilty of the product, but not always easy to remove ice from product since the instructions say NOT to flex the tray. Also very difficult to fill without spillage.

I use these for filling water bottles. Lids are a must!

The only issue I have is that the lids donβt fully seal so if you tilt them while putting them in the freezer they will spill. Otherwise, they are much easier to use than another of this shape of ice cube tray that I tried in the past.
