This silicon cover works well and blocks out ALL heat from the handle. It also is easily removed for cleaning. I find it a little loose on my frying pans but not enough to cause any problems or be dangerous. Just assumed they would have a very tight fit like the Calphalon handle covers. Would recommend if using Lodge products

It works as intended. Find it does not fit as snuggly as I would have liked. Works fine on stovetop, less well on handle for in-oven use.

If you have a cast iron skillet this is a necessity. It is so much easier to cook with my cast-iron skillet, and leave the handle on when it is being stored. I don’t have to remind myself to grab a bulky pot holder anymore. Fantastic product, and when I repurchase another cast iron product, I’ll be sure to buy this accessory again. The bright orange color stands out while cooking, and in a dark lazy Susan cabinet too.

Good for use on any metal pan handle, not just cast iron. I have not put them in oven but they have held up fine on handles that would make an oven mitt smoke. They are snug so some resistance is needed to get them on and off.
