I bought this to make homemade fudge. Needing to know an exact temp was why I went with a thermometer instead of just eyeballing.Well, this thermometer is certainly easy to use, but it’s not instant. I’d put it in fudge and it would start at about 20 degrees lower and Very Gradually rise to what temp it actually was.My first attempt at fudge was slightly overcooked because it took so long to get an accurate temperature.Not bad, but a little frustrating. Still glad I bought it though. Otherwise it would’ve been worse.
