Seems to work better if the meat is a little on the chilled side. I have only used it on pork chops but it works alright. if i had a lot to tenderize i would use this, if just a few i would use the hand tenderizer with the spikes. I would say the results are what you would get from using the hammer style tenderizer but more uniformed.
