In my smallish apartment kitchen, the electric cooktop is also a dish-draining area. This mat doesn’t roll up real tightly but, Eureeka, I can just set it on the top of my range’s control panel/”backsplash” with its open side slightly dropping down behind the panel (doesn’t need to fit tightly) and it stays there beautifully. Plus the grey color I bought just blends perfectly with the stainless steel on my range and doesn’t jump out against the backsplash tiles I have.

I thought it would hold water then drain it all over the counter but it doesn’t. It keeps the wet off the drying dishes. The water stays in the grooves in the mat and then evaporates! It is discreet not like a big drain dish.

I bought one to try and ended up buying another one for a friend cause these are perfect for drying dishes and when not in drying mode can place hot pots on the countertop without worrying!!

It does not absorb water but allows dishes to dry on its “ridges”. You can easily drain the water and allow to dry and put away or wash it off and use it again. No waiting for a washing cycle to complete to use it. I’ve been very pleased.

Works perfect for dishes but I am using them to line under my sink. They are easy to roll up and store when using in a kitchen with little counter space.

Although this is a drying mat, I use it as a coffee mat. It catches all the extra grounds when I am making my espresso and is heat resistant. I also use it as a cooling mat when I pull my baking trays out of the oven. Highly recommend, and worth the money.
