I had been using a wedge grater for years – it is what my Mother used and so, I thought it was not only the best thing for the job but the only thing! Boy, was I wrong!A friend of mine recommended this after the last time I was complaining about scrapped knuckles, poor performance for zesting, and the pain for cleaning the wedge. I didn’t even read the description, I just ordered it.I was TOTALLY AMAZED! This simple product is FANTASTIC!! Super easy to use; extremely good at zesting – does not tear the skin and destroy the fruit, it really provides zest; easy to clean; and, easy to store – always a pain with the now disappeared wedge.Be careful – it is sharp so, keep the protective sleeve. It will help keep the tool sharp while protecting your fingers when picking it out of the drawer.Over all, I found this product excellent and would recommend to any and all who use zest in their receipts!

It is indeed a Microplane! I assume most of you reading this review know what you are buying with this and it is a great investment for all sorts of grating needs whether its Parmesan, citrus zest, ginger, etc. it is hard to beat a Microplane. Highly recommend and loved all the color options.

I ordered one after getting a number of Blue Apron meals that required me to grate garlic and lemons. After a bit of research I decided on a microplane. I used it last night to grate a lime for another Blue Apron meal and it was so worth the money. I was previously using a box grater but this microplane made grating faster, easier and honestly even a bit fun. Love it!

I have a drawer with over half a dozen graters I use for hard cheeses, zesting, grating nutmeg, garlic, etc.I’m always been frustrated trying to get the results I needed. I was watching one of my favorite cooking shows and they recommended this microplane zester so I ordered one. The day it came I prepared one of my favorite shrimp recipes that required garlic, and lemon zests. The zesting was effortless with this jewel. I was so impressed and rated this as one of my top kitchen tools that I use now. Needless to say all those other graters were rehomed. The beautiful turquoise was a bonus, and I loved the protective sheath that comes with it.
