The sprayer is designed with the health-conscious cook in mind and is perfect for low fat/high Flavor cooking, grilling, sautΓ©ing, roasting and basting. Misto is ideal for spraying olive oil on salads, pasta, veggies, breads, pizza, chicken, beef and fish. Buy one for each of your favorite oils; great for vegetable, olive, canola and more. Refill and reuse again and again! ; The non-aerosol sprayer doesn’t use chemical propellants, and it’s refillable, so no more throwing cans away to end up in landfills. Misto is BPA-free. Please note, threading the cap on incorrectly allows air to escape and in turn does not allow the bottle to build up pressure to spray.

Whatβs very good:ββ This gadget can spray a small amount of oil per use and control where it goes much better. It sprays more of a fine mist, that’s more controllable than any pressurized spray oil I’ve found in stores.ββΒ Iβm very happy that this Misto is made of glass and my oil isnβt sitting in plastic all day for weeks and weeks. What could improve:ββ There is a thin plastic tube that sits in the oil, but to make that retractable would probably make this thing cost more than its worth so I live with that.ββ The spray goes wonky if you don’t pump it up enough or if you turn the whole thing upside down by mistake while trying to get in and spray the sides of things. It becomes more of a stream. (But if you crumple a paper towel tightly around the spray button to absorb excess oil and let it sit for a few minutes to drain, then pump it up again, it seems to get better.)ββ The tube that protrudes from the inside of the cap and provides the pump action is stuck on in a sort of flimsy way, but so far it’s hanging on.ββ I need both hands to pump it up, so I can’t keep one hand on the bottle. I have a tile floor in the kitchen so I’m always a little worried that I’ll pull up too much and the tube will come all the way off and that the glass bottle could then fall down and break, but again so far so good.I’d like it better if there were some kind of tether that would prevent the cap coming all the way off during the pump process, that you could then disconnect to take the cap off and spray. Maybe in the form of guides on two opposite sides that would go up through little ears sticking out from the bottle, that you could squeeze together or push little buttons to disconnect. In conclusion, the tube should be longer and more securely stuck to the inside of the cap and the cap tethered somehow to the bottle, but in the end this thing works and does what I want..

I’ve had several oil sprayers and most didn’t spray, they shot a stream of oil no matter how much you pumped them up. They also required frequent cleaning but once the orifice got plugged you might as well throw the sprayer away. This aluminum one seems to project a consistent spray. So far, no plug problems However, you must release the pressure after each use and pump it up again the next time you want to spray something and don’t fill the container more than halfway. It requires about 75 pumps to get the proper pressure and spray pattern.

I am definitely a fan of cooking spray. I prefer using olive oil. Off the shelf grocery store options are expensive and I felt silly throwing away the cooking spray can when I was done with it all too soon.I happily used a glass sprayer until the inevitable happened and it broke as glass does when it drops on a tile floor. This sprayer is made out of aluminum and does not break. I have dropped it several times now with no damage to the sprayer, my floor or my toes. It looks good, I like the deep red color. The downside to this product (,which wasn’t clear to me from the product description) is that you literally have to pump air into this every time you want to use it. It’s pretty simple, the top is designed to act as an air pump. You pump it 10-20 times. If you don’t do that, no spray. If you do it too little, spray is uneven.NOt sure why this nice aluminum version requires pumping when the glass sprayers do not. I am keeping this and will continue to use it, but it’s not the ideal sprayer.

I bought this as a gift for my sister and I already have the same one. I like it, it is easy to use and it produces a nice fine mist of oil on my food. I use it to spray oil on food I am cooking in my air fryer. You have to remember to loosen the cap after you are done using it. I haven’t had any issues with mine and I really like the red brushed metal; I didn’t see that one when I got mine but I bought the red as a gift.

I’ve bought mysto used and finally understood why it didn’t initially worked. I am updating my review to 5 stars instead. You must take the pump cap out and then place it back in to pump properly.

When it first arrived, I sprayed some water through it when cleaning it, and it worked really well with the water. But, it didn’t work well with olive oil that I purchased it for. It dribbled down the front if there was not enough pressure, and with a bit more pressure, it turned the oil into a fine atomized cloud that hung in the air– slowly settling out onto the counter, floor, etc. But, with almost no oil ending up on the item it was sprayed at. The hole in the spray tip is too small for oil. It would be a great product if it came with a second tip with a larger orifice for spraying oil. But, if you want to use it to spray water or a similar viscosity liquid, it should work for you.Update: I used a heated (red hot) sewing needle to make the opening larger, and it now works well for oil (EVOO). I want another for truffle oil… if I can convince myself that I didn’t just get extremely lucky that the heated needle didn’t just make things worse.

This misto is easier to refill than the aluminum one as you can easily see how much oil you’ve poured in. I previously used the aluminum one and I like it, but I like this one even better. A misto will help you avoid the propellants in the aerosol versions that can ruin some nonstick pans.

Put whatever type of oil pump and spray. Simple plus you can see how much oil you have left before needing to refill
