I knew this tool would be better for cutting the bagel dough into bagel size chunks, I just had no idea how much better. (I was using a kitchen knife) The first time I picked it up to cut dough, I was amazed how easy it was to handle and with a couple of swipes, how neatly it cut the dough. It has fairly easy to read scales in both 1/8 inch and millimeter increments. These had no weight in my decision to purchase these dough cutters. The roll at the top (handle) is very comfortable and is one inch in diameter or 25.4 millimeters. The overall height (top of handle to edge of blade) is 4.5 inches or approximately 114 millimeters. It is 5-7/8 inches or 149.5 millimeters long. I call it the blade, however, it is not sharp, it is the width of 20 gauge metal. The finish is NOT mirror, it is brushed, at least on the two that I received and I think it makes no difference either way, unless one would like to use it as a mirror to see how good they look as they are making bagels. (I just use the bathroom mirror) Also the corners have been rounded to greatly reduce the likelihood of one poking or cutting oneself.

Well recently I’ve been getting into baking bread (inflation was a big factor). And as a result, I’ve found myself carving out time in the week to bake a couple of loaves. I had seen others on youtube videos (tutorials) that had used it, I thought it was more of a flex kinda thing. So paid no mind…initially.Until I realized how much time I spent in between getting my dough ready. And because I was making enriched bread (challah/brioche/milkbread) there was quite a bit of cleanup time in between preshaping. It was at that point, I decided lemme give it a try and “just see”Well…It is a TIME SAVERI’ve been able to speed up my process exponentially. As I’m able to simply give a handful of swipes to my flour board and return to the next step. It is isn’t something that I initially thought I’d use or be interested in; however, after using it for months…the idea of NOT having one available while preshaping just makes me shake my head. And the added bonus, is it’s appearance. Well worth it if on the fence of getting one.

If you donβt have a bench scraper you need to buy one right away!!! These are well made and very sturdy plus easy to clean. I actually own several different versions and this is a great option! It is so much easier transferring chopped onions or anything to a pot using this. Otherwise youβre grabbing as much as your hands hold and dropping pieces along the way to the pot! Clean up is easier too!!! So give this gadget a try. Youβll wonder how you ever lived without one! Highly recommended

I recently needed a replacement for my dough cutter/scrapper. My old one had a plastic handle. The handle was deteriorating. I did not want black plastic flakes in my dough, so I tossed it. Found this one when I was shopping for a replacement. It is one piece, stainless steel. No plastic. It is perfect. Works great and will likely be the last one I need to buy. I have used it a couple times and washed by hand and in the dishwasher. No signs of rust or discoloring. Even Stainless Steel can rust if the composition is not correct. This one is right. The rolled metal handle is great, right size and shape. There are measurement markings etched in the blade.

I bought a pack of two. They are easy to operate, clean, high value and an effective tool. I love it. I don’t use it for cutting, I only use them to pick chopped veggie off the board. My board is heavy so they are super useful.

Just using this as a scraper at the moment for food prep but should be making some bread soon. This is an incredibly simple and low cost item that every kitchen should have. For less than $10 delivered, you’ll wonder why you didn’t get one or two a long time ago…

It is what it is not bad for price and I use my cutter till it died about 2 months after purchase. I bake a lot! Worth getting again if I’m in a hurry and need it faster. It is decent for the price

Looks good, made out of thick steel so I don’t expect it to break under pressure and the handle makes it easy to hold
