I was looking for a scale that could be used in two situations:1. For espresso machines with a low clearance (e.g. Gaggia Classic Pro)2. For pour-overs, with enough space to hit the buttons when a carafe is usedThis scale was one of the few that could do both for a reasonable price. However, the 1000g weight limit turned out to be too low for my pour-over setup, even for just one (large) serving. A 15 oz. (444g) mug and a ceramic V60 was too heavy, but switching to a lighter metal tumbler worked out. Don’t expect to fill a carafe for 2 people if you have any ceramic or glass equipment though. That said, it’s not as though the description is misleading in any way, and the scale is obviously more focused on espresso, so I wouldn’t really count this against the scale. There are a couple other nitpicks, like the scale not being water-proof, and having a short lag. But taking the price into account, and the fact that this still seems to be the best scale for my situation, I’d still say it’s great.

I got this for adjusting my espresso maker to the proper shot size and timing. Also, for measuring out the proper amount of beans to grind. It seems to be pretty accurate and the timer works well! It’s just a little “flimsy” for daily use but, for the price, I can’t complain much about it. I’ll keep it and use it for measuring out my ingredients for curing bacon and buy a better scale for my espresso machine.

Awesome little scale, the portafiltro etching looks good on my espresso bar but that’s besides the point. I tried several scales all had some good qualities but this one took the cake. Feels not cheap, soft touch coating helps. The little silicone pad is useful when pulling shots directly on the machine as it is NOT IP rated. The timer function sets it apart from the near priced competition. Only cons (not really due to price) are that the timer does not pause, stop and reset are all you can do. Wish it was a little thinner but it works fine on my gaggia. Pro’s: I use it with a Timemore ESP (yeah not many have this one but it’s fantastic) to weigh dose & it gives me an accurate to the first decimal gram everytime! (That’s a tenth) reads fast enough to pull shots accurately. VERY easy to read and use, big bright numbers. Also, you can start with dosing cup from grinder on scale before turning on which will auto tare. I usually save that for the demitasse cups as I’ve learned mine are not equally weighted. I waited to review only after pulling 2 doubles a day for over a month. Yeah it’s good and I hope this helps someone save some bucks if you don’t need smart scale features and apps or have the need to dose into & weigh portafiltro (works but clumsy so bigger might be better). Helped me dial in when combined with my tests comparing 1zxpresso, C2 , and the new ESP. I’d say it’s a steal at this price and I can save some dough for other stuff like accupuncture needles to make wdt which is more rewarding than buying one ?

I just received this scale and tried it out. I first verified accuracy with two 10 gram weights I have from another scale and they were spot on, 10.0 grams each. The scale is solid and feels well made. The buttons are a little loose but thatβs no big deal. They work just fine. I used this to weigh the dose and water in an afternoon aeropress coffee and it worked great. For $20 with same day delivery I am perfectly happy. It does not have an auto start timer where the timer starts when weight starts being added like when pulling a shot of espresso or pouring water into an aeropress which is unfortunate but for the price I really didnβt expect it and I can press the timer button on the scale or on my phone separately so really not a big deal, especially for the price. Accuracy is the most important and this scale delivers.

Love this scale, but a little water kills it. Gone through two in about a year. Will give it one more chance.

I have bought several different cheap scales for measuring espresso shots and this is far and away my favorite. The main thing I love is how quickly it gets the reading. Some of these scales, the numbers can barely keep up in real time with the change in weight but this almost immediately registers, allowing it to be more useful for coffee tasks including weighing the beans but especially measure your shot weight.I am careful not to get it wet and so far, so good.

Honestly much nicer than I was expecting for the price. It’s accurate, reasonably fast, and very easy to use. It’s slim enough to fit under the portafilter of my espresso machine, and the backlit display is very easy to read. The timer and tare functions “just work” with big, clicky buttons. The timer is fully manual, meaning it won’t start ticking when it detects weight, but I don’t personally find that to be a downside. YMMV.

Great price and form factor and features. Oz or grams, with tare.Readout not instantaneous. Am used to it now. Works better with fresh batteries.
