This came a day late but arrived just as I was making pizza dough. It isnβt what I expected, is a little rough and very lightweight but pizza slid in the oven easily. It does not have a hole in the handle to gang it up, so is awkward to store. I decided to keep it because I made 6 pizzas and they all slid beautifully into the oven. This is very plain, very rough (needs sanding), very lightweight, seems cheaply made, and not the pizza peel I would have liked (the one I want had been sold out for months) but it cost less than the one I wanted and itβs better than using my airbake cookie sheet to slide pizzas into the oven so Iβll sand it, figure out if I need to add mineral oil or some kind of safe finish so it doesnβt get mold and drill a hole in the handle so I can hang it up somewhere. (Ugh- itβs not pretty)All in all I wish Iβd sent this back or just waited for the better one to come in stock.Hereβs an update 8 mo this later: this wasnβt what it looked like in the add, and I was disuwhen it arrived, BUT, I use it at least twice a week. Itβs not pretty, I didnβt hang it on my wall, I couldnβt actually because thereβs no hole In The handle, so I store it away and pull it out when Iβm making bread, pizza, roaring vegetables in a shallow pan, it makes getting things out of the oven easier. Iβd never do that with the pretty pizza paddle of my dreams, but this oneβs become a ver utilitarian tool in my kitchen-I marked one side for pizza/bread only, and the other side unfailingly slides gracefully under whatever I need. It shows no sign of breaking down soon. The original crack is still there with no real Change- so it takes on every job with ease. As I travel Iβm still on the lookout for my perfect pizza peel- itβll make perfect pizzas just like this one- but display on my kitchen wall. Until then, this ugly duckling is study, light, maneuverable and easy to use. I added an extra star. Iβve grown to appreciate it. I never did drill a hole to hang it up- itβs not something I want to look at or be reminded of, but this thin, cheap Lu made, lightweight, peel is working for me in ways Iβd never use a nicer peel/ and it was really inexpensive. I almost feel like adding 2 stars, but letβs face it/ itβs just not a 5 star pizza peel.

This will be a perfect gift. We make a lot of pizzas on the grill and just need this little extra support.
