This press is just the best thing I’ve seen in years. It is cute, compact, extra sturdy, useful at every step of tofu handling, so simple a very young child can use it but still totally perfect for the job. I can’t say enough about it. Best money I spent on anything in many many years. I don’t have a single complaint.Press it, drain it without even opening it. Adjustable pressure. Marinate in it. Store in it. Wash up is so simple. Pressing can be finished in just minutes. I’ve used it several times already. As sturdy as it is I expect it will last me for years. I love this thing.

Great press, but I am having difficulties with the top silicone handle, it appeared stuck!! With the help of my husband I got it going! Most likely is me, otherwise this is very easy to use press. I love the tofu try because is easy to take the pressed tofu out + extra lid + cheese cloth! I had a few presses but this one is the best so far!!

This is my first tofu press which is insane since Iβm pretty close to being vegan. My normal method of pressing tofu involved a Dutch oven filled with cans of beans hahaha. I finally decided to get my act together and buy a real press. I used it for the first time the other day and the tofu was so dry and firm and perfect!!! It was way easier to coat it in cornstarch and fry it to the crispness I prefer. I cannot believe I waited so long. Iβm going to be making tofu left and right now that I have this!

This is an ingenious contraption that works well. My only warning is not to tighten the top screw too much or you will crush your tofu into smithereens, which is not the goal. Tightened lightly, refrigerated and with the excess water simply poured off, this yields a firm tofu that is easy to cook with and which can be crisped on the outside while still retaining its shape. Once I have drained off the excess water and cut the tofu into the desired shape, I used the container and accompanying top to marinate the tofu. This also works beautifully. After using, I placed it in the top of my dishwasher, ran it on Water Miser setting, and it came out beautifully clean.

This works as I expected to press water out of tofu. The only thing I have to compare it to is trying to press water out of tofu by sandwiching the tofu between two plates and putting something heavy on top. This is much, much better than that. Easy to use and easy to clean.

I was tired of using tons of paper towels and weighing down my tofu blocks with pots and pans only to have them fall over during the process of pressing out the excess water. This thing is wonderful! It’s easy to toss your tofu block into the container, snap on the lid, and screw the press down until the top panel is pressing all that water out of your tofu. all the excess liquid falls to the bottom of the container, and the little vent in the top corner makes it easy to pour it out even as the tofu is still being pressed! The storage lid for after pressing comes in handy for marinating your tofu overnight – no need to switch to another container! I don’t have a dishwasher but it’s very easy to take apart and clean by hand. I make a lot more plant-based meals using tofu as a protein source now that getting the excess water out for the perfect texture is no longer such a hassle!

I’ve used it only once but ordered a second on the strength of that experience. I’ve been using traditional bamboo-box tofu molds which do the job, but they have to be used over some pan arrangement to catch the water as it drains from the curds. This device removes that need.Compared to the traditional bamboo box, it’s a bit smaller, but I found that if I fill it, press the curd down and fill again, press that down again there is enough room to hold all of the tofu I usually get into the traditional box (I start with 5 cups of dried beans). The image shows the previous method in the back including the contraption I rigged to compress the curd.
