I bought this to hold the oil when I strain it from my DEEP FRYER. It was large enough to hold the full amount, because it holds a gallon. I was surprised when I got it how heavy it was. It is very well made and the bottom is thick, (I think it might be insulated), but it will not turn over, since it is so heavy. The strainer is very fine, so it catches, almost everything. I recommend this to anyone that needs a large container to strain or store oil in. I bought the first one and was so impressed that I ordered another one. One to store my oil in and one to strain the oil. The shipping was great. Got it ahead of time.

There is not much to dislike but the only thing is when pouring hot grease in it set it on a level and cool surface. The strainer is an excellent plus but the top is plastic so you can’t completely close it down because of the possibility of melting other than that enjoy!

This grease keeper is really nice. The only thing I don’t like about it is the heaviness. I use to keep my leftover grease under the sink but this one is to heavy for me to put it there. It is good looking, nice and shiny, so it is fine on the counter. The strainer is awesome. I would highly recommend this keeper.

Love this product my husband cooks he needed something to store his grease yuck aside old plastic this is perfect no spills looks great in the cabinet easy to clean conceals the smell !! Definitely recommend!!

Heavy duty stainless steel, strainer and lid fit perfectly. Bought same size as deep fryer. Keeps grease safe and fresh. Can be poured right in and cooled. High quality thickness and appearance.

It’s not too big so it won’t take a whole lot of space in my fridge. I use it for bacon grease. I can heat it up on the stove (JUST ENOUGH TO MELT THE SIDES) if I need to pour it completely out. It appears that there’s a crease in the top rim; however, whether it’s intentional or not, it makes a good spot for pouring. The lid is attached to the strainer on a hinge. The strainer fits into the canister tight enough that I don’t worry about the lid falling off.

This is a great storage container for storing my used frying oil. I really appreciate the strainer, the tight-fitting lid and the sleekness of the container – it looks good sitting on my countertop. I gave this four stars because this holds EXACTLY 4 quarts with no wiggle room. This means that the strainer is always sitting in oil so it’s a little messy to take out and set aside when I want to reuse the oil. i would have appreciated it if there was a little more room at the top so that the strainer could drip dry, but it’s still a great storage container.

It’s nice but needs to be bigger in size to hold all of the used oil from the fryer.
