   Overall nice design and quality. I like the way it is beveled on the front compared to my other wooden peels, and that it is bamboo instead of some unknown soft wood. I am deducting one star, due to the inexplicable packaging. I am having a big problem with the fact they used some sort of very sticky tape to needlessly attach the cardboard exterior package to the middle of the wooden peel. It left a large sticky spot on the wood, which I still have not been able to remove, after washing, using alcohol, etc. Kind of defeats the purpose of creating a nice surface to have the dough slide off!Ooni- PLEASE stop doing this!Any hints as to a safe way to clean this off of the otherwise nice peel?

   Very happy with the Ooni bamboo paddle. Not only is it a great product, customer service is top notch. I am so glad I bought the Ooni brand instead of the other off-brands I was considering because they were cheaper. It has a nice feel to it and it felt balanced in the hand and of quality. Highly recommend

   So many pizza peel products on here, how to choose. Went with this, and now have used many many times now. My husband and I both work in kitchens. Not like that matters but it is quality and we really are glad to have this. Much easier.

   This wooden pizza peel is great for putting pizza in the oven. the raw pizza with a little flour slips right off. However, the angle is too steep to be effective at getting the pizza out of the oven.Recommend both the wooden and the metal pizza peels, one to put the pizza in the oven and the other to take it out.Having two peels also speeds up the prep for the next pizza. Would buy again.

   I learned how to make a great pizza dough (thanks to Alton Brown) and we bought an Ooni pizza oven. Our old peel was too small for a 12″ pizza. There were other options on Amazon, but the Ooni price was within an acceptable range. It has a smoother surface than other peels, making it easier to slide the pizza off the peel and into the oven. Once the pizza is in the oven, I suggest using a metal peel to turn the pizza, or you can get a long-handled small metal turning peel. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll never call for pizza delivery again.

   Think about it, why would this wooden peel work in a 950 degree oven without burning. That’s what mine did at the tip of the peel. The aluminum peel is much better. I give it three stars because the pizza does slide off easy, but don’t use it to pick up and turn the pizza or you’ll taste burned bamboo!

   Perfect for our 12” oven. Needs very light flour covering and the dough slides right off. While it looks durable, i wouldn’t put it in a dishwasher.
