Iβve always dreaded zesting. I wasnβt ever sure if Iβd removed enough zest or too little. I was also a little paranoid about cutting myself. Somehow I found this product and voilΓ ! All problems and concerns instantly resolved. Itβs so wonderful feeling like you know what the heck youβre doing. For those with workshops, wrapping your citrus in a towel and using a bench clamp to hold it could up your zest game to god level.

I love this thing! My husband and I started using Hello Fresh recently, we never “zest” anything before (new adults here lol) and on their recipes they call for zesting all the time and we were using a knife which would take forever and the results were not always as good and precise and they are with this little game changer. This is one of those thing that you didn’t know you needed but trust me you do need it.

I don’t always love the OXO aesthetic but got this based on some recommendations on cooking sites I follow. I gotta say, I love it. Both channel and the strip zesting are super easy and it cleans in a trice. I zested two lemons I didn’t even need to just for fun the first time. There was citrus everywhere. The humanity…

Good size and doesnβt clog up like some seaters I have used. Grip is nice.

For years I’ve used a typical long, stainless steel microplane grater like this one: https://amzn.to/3StmDf6. It’s hard to hold because the edges dig into my hand & I’ve never felt I was getting all the zest off while avoiding the pith. I have other Oxo products that I like a lot, so I ordered this zester. And Shazam! I got 2 Tbsp. of zest off the lemon I used yesterday AND it comes off in neat little threads (like saffron) that are much easier to gather up & put into whatever I’m making that the tiny dots pf zest I used to end up with. It was so thorough that my lemon was nearly as white as an egg when I finished. So toss your old emery-board style grater/zester & get one of these jammies!

Multi purpose, can produce zest or a wide slice for that twist of lemon in your martini.

This zester is easy to hold and easy to clean. Although the zest strips are kind of long for my use, it works great!
