I like that this candy thermometer doesn’t slip or fall off while working with burning hot sugar based candy. I had a simple clip on thermometer with a dial on the top. It would slide and the clip would pop off the pot. Well I got tired of messing with it and getting burned. I am pleased with the performance of this thermometer. It is easy to read and doesn’t budge from where I place it.

The clip is nice, and very functional. The thermometer is easy to use and to read. I used it for frying. I would just use my hand hovering over the pot or chopstick trick to see if the oil was hot enough. It was 100 degrees off, so thatβs why my potato donuts took so long to fry. The brand is reliable and the price is reasonable.

OMG this is a life saver for me. OK ok, little dramatic, I know. But after Ive gone through 3 digital and 2 other analog thermometers, this one finally works, and works perfectly.I honestly don’t know how an analog thermometer could be wrong, but the other 2 I used before this one, were. Burned 5 batches of candy before I figured out it was the thermometers.Glad I don’t have that worry any more. 10 stars!

I make jams and simple syrup, this thermometer helps judge the thickness my product is going to be while it’s still very hot and liquidy in the pan. The thermometer reads accurately and hasn’t failed me yet.
